😬 Over 80% of German citizens condemn the methods of climate activists from the Letzte Generation environmental community, which include gluing themselves to museum exhibits and blocking roads to draw attention to environmental problems, a Civey poll commissioned by the Augsburger Allgemeine newspaper found on Tuesday.

▪️ The poll indicated that 81% of Germans are critical of the protests staged by the Letzte Generation activists, while seven out of ten respondents consider these actions "unequivocally wrong." About 86% of Germans believe that this community's methods are damaging rather than beneficial to their cause. Only 14% of respondents consider the activists' methods appropriate, according to the survey.

▪️ The poll also showed that the majority of those who are sympathetic towards the climate activists are supporters of the left and green parties.

🇿🇼 🇷🇺 Zimbabwe supports Russia’s approach to its special military operation in Ukraine, and has called "for a move away from NATO expansion", the country’s Minister of Defense and War Veterans Oppah Muchinguri Kashiri says

🗣 "We support the territorial integrity of Russia, its integral approach to a special military operation and the protection of the Slavic population in the indicated territories (Ukraine). We understand and accept that people freely and openly voted for their future life in the Russian Federation. We call for a move away from NATO expansion and we see that the UN does not look at the fact that many countries are under the yoke of sanctions,” the minister stated.

Kashiri has also pointed out that Russia is indispensable actor, which “opposes global paranoia along the total spectrum, which is built on the dominance of some and the humiliation of others"

🤫State-run organizations are deploying spyware to keep tabs on politicians and journalists almost entirely without EU-level supervision, according to a draft report for the European Parliament

▪️The document indicates that citizens can “safely assume that all EU member states have purchased one or more commercial spyware products”

▪️However, “no meaningful European oversight is in place; not to curb the illegal use of powerful spyware against individuals, nor to monitor the trade in these digital goods,” the author of the report said in a statement

📌According to the report, governments have fallen short on cooperation in terms of investigating spying, such as in the cases of spying on the president of the Greek socialist opposition party PASOK and a Polish senator who served as campaign manager for the opposition Civic Platform party
