Exciting activities for reporters and guests at the APEC media center. Right next to media desks are the exibits of local companies taking part in the APEC economic leaders week. The Bangchak Corporation, which offers battery swapping service for e-bike 🏍 motorcycle drivers invited me for a ride. Instead of waiting for batteries to ⚡️charge for 3 hours, drivers use automated charging lockers around greater Bangkok area to swap old batteries for new ones. The technology helps them to reduce their debt by 60%. I’m a motorcycle rider myself, and I was amazed how powerful and quiet these e-bikes are.

🌊 A small translucent mollusk Cymatioa cookie, known only from fossils dating back 28,000 years, was discovered hiding in the rocky tidal zone of southern California by marine ecologist Jeff Goddard from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
For decades, Goddard studied the shores of California and eventually got a copy of one tiny mollusk:
