A former Ohio school teacher has filed a lawsuit over the circumstances of her resignation. Vivian Geraghty, who resigned in August, claims that she quit her job after two students asked her to use names aligned “with their new gender identities rather than their legal names.”

As the students’ request was apparently in line with the school’s policy that stipulates teachers use students’ preferred pronouns, Geraghty, who describes herself as Christian, reached out to the principal in a bid to reach “a solution that would allow her to continue teaching without violating her religious beliefs and constitutional rights.”

Two Deep Space Super-Earths Might Be Mostly Water

A team of researchers from the University of Montreal led by Caroline Piaulet has found evidence that two exoplanets orbiting a red dwarf may be "water worlds" - planets with a significant portion of their material made up of H20.

The exoplanets are 218 light years away in the Lyra constellation and do not resemble any of the planets in our solar system.

Iran to Launch at Least Two Domestically-Produced Nahid Satellites by Spring

Iran will put into orbit at least two domestically-produced satellites, Nahid-1 and Nahid-2, by the spring of 2023, Iranian Minister of Information and Communications Technology Issa Zarepour said on Sunday.

"By the end of this year [Iran celebrates new year on March 21] at least two satellites will be launched into space, there are also some other satellites on the way... Two satellites are being prepared [Nahid-1 and Nahid-2]. Hopefully, by the end of the year they will be launched into space," Zarepour was quoted as saying by the Iranian news agency IRNA.

Spielberg's hit movie Jaws is often criticized by eco-activists for misrepresenting sharks as vengeful and cruel creatures.

Acclaimed film director Steven Spielberg stated that he is afraid that sharks are “mad” at him “for the feeding frenzy of crazy sports fishermen that happened after 1975," when Jaws came out.

"I truly and to this day regret the decimation of the shark population because of the book and the film. I really, truly regret that," Spielberg added.

FTX Founder to Stop Defying Extradition as US Presses Fraud Charges, Reports Suggest

Sam Bankman-Fried, the co-founder of the bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange FTX, will drop his fight against extradition to the United States where he faces charges of fraud and other financial crimes, media reported Sunday.

Bankman-Fried's lawyer said that his client would resist being sent to the United States during his first court appearance, but US media cited people familiar with the matter as saying on Sunday that he would no longer fight it and would make an announcement in court next week.

KFOR Reportedly Tightens Security at Checkpoint in Northern Kosovo Over Rallying Serbs

The NATO-led peacekeeping mission Kosovo Forces (KFOR) has stepped up security at the closed Jarinje border crossing between Serbia and the breakaway Kosovo due to mass gatherings of local Serbs on the Serbian side, local media reported on Sunday.

At around 13:00 local time, several hundred people with flags, supported by Serbian youth groups, gathered near a non-functioning checkpoint in the Serbian border town of Raska. The organizers used social media to invite participants from Serbia, Montenegro and the Republika Srpska of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The rally was held under the slogan "There will never be a border, Kosovo is Serbia."

A flagship Royal Thai Navy warship, the HTMS Sukhothai, has sunk and dozens of sailors are missing, the Navy's spokesman Pokkrong Monthatphalin said in a statement, adding that 78 sailors have been rescued.

According to Monthatphalin, water flowed into the ship through a pipe amid strong waves and high winds, cutting off the Sukhothai's power and causing the crew to lose control. Water then rushed into the hull and the boat started to capsize
