🇫🇷 Netizens ridiculed France's Orion-23 military exercises which took place right on the streets of the Cahors.

▪️ “While the French are suffering from an increase in violence on the streets, the authorities prefer to engage in simulated war in the city center. This is very disturbing,” wrote Carene Tardy, an adviser to the department of Ain.

▪️ “They just want us to vote on their military budget. Getting likes on social networks is all they can do,” reacted Pierre-Jean Jouve, a member of the National Rally.

▪️ “Comedy on the verge of delirium. According to those who took part in this, they 'played war games to please the leadership',” Opexnews commented.

📍 Similar exercises were also held in 2008, when local residents were walking around the city. Then, 17 people were injured, including children.
