Beijing calls on US, Japan, Philippines to stop undermining China's sovereignty, interests

The US, the Philippines, and Japan held their first security advisers' meeting in Tokyo on June 16, agreeing to bolster their collective defense and security capabilities to maintain peace in the Indo-Pacific amid China's military activities in the South and East China Seas.

China's Defense Ministry has urged countries in the region to avoid actions that endanger themselves while benefiting others, and restated its commitment to resolving disputes through consultation.

🇺🇸 Americans maintain historic low in national pride, poll finds

A new Gallup poll found that only 39% of US adults say they are “extremely proud” of their nationality - that’s up just 1% from last year’s record low of 38%.

Meanwhile, 28% reported being “very proud” of being American while 22% noted being “moderately proud,” and just 7% said they were “only a little” proud. Another 4% of respondents admitted they weren't proud “at all” of their US citizenship.

🇺🇸 US OKs possible sale of 30mm ammunition, equipment to Taiwan worth $440mln

Taiwan's request includes 30mm high-explosive incendiary tracer rounds, multi-function ammunition and training rounds, spare parts for wheeled vehicles, weapons and other related equipment.

The DSCA said the proposed sale aims to "support the foreign policy and national security objectives of the US" and added that the sale will "not alter the basic military balance in the region."

US must order 'vassals' in Kiev to end conflict, says Russia's envoy to UN

Vassily Nebenzia slammed the US and the EU for wasting an opportunity for peace in March last year, adding that the peace settlement conditions will now be different for Ukraine.

Ukrainians are being sent to the battlefield "like lambs to the slaughter" during Kiev's so-called counteroffensive, and the collective West has become detached from reality, purposely provoking a direct confrontation between the nuclear powers, Nebenzia added.
