The lower house of the Russian Parliament has approved a bill banning gender reassignment in Russia.

Duma Chairman Volodin shared statistics on a "monstrous trend" as he said "there have been 50 times more gender reassignment operations in the United States over the past 10 years."

"This is the path leading to the degeneration of the nation. For us, this is unacceptable," Volodin added.

🇧🇷 The Global South is Kiev’s and NATO’s latest bet in a quest for manpower to feed the long-term war, Brazilian journalist Lucas Leiroz told Sputnik. The US will soon provide Greece with "significant military equipment" for free, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said

The prime minister noted that Athens are aimed at having "a very strong deterrence capacity," adding that he believed Greece "has been able to achieve that at a rapid pace."

In 2019 and 2021, Washington and Athens amended the Mutual Defense Cooperation Agreement, which allowed the US to establish new military bases on the territory of Greece and expanded the term of the agreement from one to five years.

🇪🇺 Economic and finance ministers of the European Union will discuss a multiannual financial support package of 50 billion euros ($56 billion) for Ukraine during their meeting on Friday, European Commission Vice-President Valdis Dombrovskis said.

The facility covers the period from 2024 to 2027, the commission's vice-president added, expressing hope that other donors will also make their contributions to provide financial help to Ukraine.

Additionally, the House rejected amendments from other lawmakers to require the Biden administration to provide Congress with a detailed strategy for US involvement in Ukraine and end an extension of lend-lease authority to Ukraine.

There have been no new statements about Russia extending its participation in the grain deal, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Sputnik on Friday.

Earlier in the day, media reported citing Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as saying that he allegedly agreed with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the extension of the grain deal.

"NATO summit - summit of death"

More than 2,500 activists of the Young Guard of the All-Russian Political Party and the Volunteer Company in Moscow and St. Petersburg went to the embassies of unfriendly countries to express dissatisfaction with NATO's support of the Kiev regime and its supply of weapons to Ukraine.

🗣 “Today we went to the Embassy of Lithuania and the embassies of 10 other countries that are transferring lethal weapons to Ukraine. We protest against the transfer of such weapons, since civilians are under attack. It was with this weapon that the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station was bombed, it is this weapon that injures and maims the elderly and children. We believe that the [NATO] summit that is taking place in Vilnius is truly a summit of death, because it decides the issue of pumping Ukraine with new weapons to kill civilians,” said Anton Demidov, chairman of the Young Guard of the All-Russian Political Party.
