Beijing rejected US accusations that Chinese-backed hackers breached the email account of US Ambassador to China Nicholas Burns recently

Earlier in the day, US media reported, citing sources, that Chinese-linked hackers allegedly accessed the email account of Burns, compromising hundreds of thousands of government emails.

Chinese Embassy spokesperson Liu Pengyu highlighted the importance of having enough evidence when identifying cyber-related incidents, rather than make groundless speculations and allegations.

The US still has a moral obligation to support health care, clean-up efforts and environmental restoration across the islands of the Central Pacific where it carried out more than three score nuclear tests after World War II, US Presidential Envoy Joseph Yun said 

US compensation for the health problems and environmental damage caused by nuclear tests are currently being negotiated as part of the current compact talks with the Marshall Islands, Yun noted.

Between 1946 and 1958, the United States conducted 67 nuclear tests including many ultra-powerful thermonuclear ones in the Marshall Islands.

Some of the Western-provided weapons intended for Ukrainian troops was stolen by arms traffickers, criminals, and volunteer fighters before being recovered last year, a US military news outlet that obtained a Pentagon report has claimed

The report does not specify whether the weapons and equipment that were stolen were American, some examples are outlined in a highly redacted section of the document that deals with Ukrainian tracking of US-provided arms, according to the US media outlet.

Last year, the US delivered a wide array of weapons to Ukraine, including Stinger and Javelin missiles, howitzers, grenade launchers, as well as millions of rounds of small-arms ammunition.

Qatar's Foreign Ministry summoned Swedish Ambassador to hand him a note of protest over the repeated desecration of the Quran in Sweden

Divers discovered more than a dozen unexploded bombs and artillery projectiles in a US Navy shipwreck off the coast of Newfoundland, the Royal Canadian Navy announced 

The Canadian government has warned that unexploded ordinances can be more ubiquitous than what is found amongst a World War II shipwreck.

“Unexploded Explosive Ordinances (UXO) can also move or be exposed over time. Freeze-thaw cycles, flooding, forest fires, and storms can uncover buried ordnance or move it from place to place. It can also become more unstable and more dangerous over time” the Canadian government explained.

Ukrainian Ambassador to the UK had been dismissed, with Kiev's Foreign Ministry giving no official reason for his sacking, British media reported

One British news website claimed that the ambassador had been on the receiving end of a "very strong" telephone call from Kiev.

A diplomatic source told a UK news agency that the reprimand was over his public criticism of Zelensky's response to British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace's comments at last week's NATO summit.

Poland considering sending troops to Western Ukraine - Russian Foreign Intelligence Service Director Sergei Naryshkin said on Friday at a meeting held by President Vladimir Putin with the permanent members of the Security Council.

Putin stated at the meeting that Polish leaders plan to form a coalition under the guise of NATO and intervene in the conflict in Ukraine in order to seize land and return, as they believe, their historical territories.

The majority of Russians (76%) believe that Russian President Vladimir Putin is doing a good job, a poll by the Public Opinion Foundation showed on Friday.

The poll also found that 74% of citizens trust Putin, 15% do not trust him, and 11% were undecided.
