The Russian MoD’s latest statements on Ukrainian attack on Russian journos:

▪️ The Armed Forces of Ukraine launched an artillery strike on a group of Sputnik journalists on July 22;

▪️ Four journalists were injured, with varying degrees of severity, as a result of a Ukrainian strike with cluster munitions on a group of correspondents;

▪️ Sputnik journalists who were hit in a Ukrainian attack were gathering evidence on the use of cluster munitions in the shelling of the Zaporozhye region by the Armed Forces of Ukraine;

▪️ The journalists were promptly evacuated to the field medical facilities of the Russian MoD, where they receive qualified medical care;

▪️ The state of health of the injured journalists is moderate, stable, there is no threat to life; all the necessary medical care is being provided.

❗️Russian MoD briefing on the progress of the special military operation in Ukraine:

▪️ Near Krasny Liman, the actions of a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group were suppressed. The Russian Army repelled seven attacks of the Ukrainian troops. Ukrainian losses amounted to 170 servicemen;

▪️ In the Donetsk direction, 14 attacks of the Ukrainian troops were successfully repelled, more than 280 Ukrainian servicemen were eliminated;

▪️ In the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian losses amounted to 110 servicemen;

▪️ In the South Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, Ukrainian losses amounted to 190 servicemen;

▪️ As a result of a Russian group strike using sea-based weapons on the Academy of the Ukrainian Forces in Lvov, a large number of Polish and German mercenaries were eliminated;

▪️ Russian troops repelled three attacks by Ukrainian troops in the area of Urozhainoye and Priyutnoye in the DPR;

▪️ Russian air defenses shot down 15 HIMARS rockets, 3 HARM missiles, 1 Storm Shadow missile and 15 UAVs.

Poland received a proper response to its grievances over the comments Russian President Vladimir Putin made on Friday, Russian Ambassador to Warsaw Sergey Andreev told Sputnik

Andreev said that he spoke to Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Pawel Jablonski, who "laid out the grievances of the Polish side about what our president said yesterday at a meeting with members of the Security Council."

On Saturday, Andreev was summoned to the Polish Foreign Ministry after Putin told a meeting of the Security Council that Poland's Western allies in 1939 left the country at the mercy of Germany. At the time, Poland practically lost its independence and statehood, which it regained to a great extent thanks to the Soviet Union. Putin noted that thanks to the Soviet Union, thanks to Stalin's position, Poland gained significant lands in the West, which once belonged to Germany.

Sweden's membership in NATO could be approved by the Foreign Affairs Commission of the parliament as a declaration of intent, Turkish media reported. However, the intensification of rapprochement between Turkiye and the EU depended not so much on Sweden, but on Germany and France.

Germany and France support Sweden joining NATO with the United States pushing for it, and will readily satisfy some of Turkiye's requests, the newspaper said. However, if Turkiye does not allow Sweden to join, these two countries will take steps so that Sweden could join as soon as possible, the report said.
