“I think with our new legislative decisions, we pave the way in Europe for a less naïve approach, taking into account the level of emissions of the industry,” French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire said, speaking to European business media, pointing to “green” subsidies announced in May for manufacturers who bake lower emissions levels into their production process.

The subsidies, expected to be worth between five and seven thousand euros per new vehicle sold, won’t be available for cars built using polluting plants, and are thus expected to limit the attractiveness of Chinese-made EVs. Le Maire said that Paris is “determined to support the European car industry and the French car industry.”

In the area of the Antonovsky bridge, paratroopers uncovered an observation post of Ukrainian formations in a rundown house, from where they were adjusting fire along the left bank of the Dnepr. A mobile group of Novorossiysk paratroopers riding a buggy vehicle equipped with a Kornet anti-tank missile system quickly advanced to the specified area to destroy the target. Thanks to a guided missile strike, the observation post of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was destroyed.

Meanwhile, in the direction of Zaporozhye, paratroopers from Stavropol are carrying out tasks on ATVs equipped with Russia’s AGS-17 Plamya (Flame) automatic grenade launcher, providing fire support for Moscow’s assault groups.
