🗣️ On US claims of Chinese threats:
“It's Washington's fears about the idea that it might be losing dominance all over the planet, but in particular in the Asia-Pacific… Since when did China become a threat to us? I mean, they haven't done anything differently than they have before... And so now anything China does, regardless of whether it's good, bad or indifferent, is somehow framed as something dangerous and risky. What do you call a spy balloon that doesn't spy? A Chinese spy balloon! What do you call a threat that isn't a threat? A Chinese threat,” KJ Noh, author, journalist and geopolitical analyst, told Sputnik.

🇺🇸🇬🇪 What is USAID doing in Georgia?
US bilateral relations with Georgia (the country, not to be confused with the American state) seem a bit tarnished, and it’s USAID’s activities in Georgia that are to blame.
The Georgian State Security Service (GSSS) has accused the agency of funding an NGO that trained Georgian youth to organize unrest, the start of which was planned for October-December this year. The US Embassy in Tbilisi stated that the allegations were false. But Georgian authorities were not satisfied with this answer, describing the US response as “astonishing and insulting.”
So, is the US spending money in the Caucasus country, and if so, for what purposes?

🇺🇸Ukraine could struggle to receive aid from other countries if aid from the United States lapses due to congressional inaction, National Security Council Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby stated.
💬“Without our support, it’s not inconceivable that some of that other support would be harder for Ukraine to achieve,” Kirby said during a press briefing.
The US has “incredible convening power” to organize assistance efforts for Ukraine, Kirby claimed, adding that the US has a couple of months of funding remaining to support Ukraine, after which there would be a lapse in assistance unless US lawmakers pass a new aid package, Kirby stressed.

🗣️ On Zelensky’s current position:
“There's no denying that Zelensky is in a bad spot, because he hasn't, as you said, he hasn't delivered on his promises: the Western wunderwaffen [wonder weapons] haven't worked… And so, the weapons are running out, the money's running out, his troops are surrendering, his offensive hasn't budged, and it’s basically a series of Pickett’s charges across open ground being cut, shredded to pieces by Russian artillery,” Nebojsa Malic, Serbian-American journalist, told Sputnik.

➡️ Insiders have detailed that McCarthy has no intention to submit another speakership bid
Congressman Kevin McCarthy after being the first speaker to be ousted in the House of Representatives announced he will not run for the position again, but that he wouldn't change a thing.
"I will not run for speaker again, I'll have the conference pick somebody else," McCarthy said Tuesday evening. "I wouldn't change a thing."
McCarthy added the country is too great for the small visions of those eight Republicans who voted alongside Democrats to oust him from his post. Moreover, McCarthy said he will look into whether he will remain in Congress.

🇫🇷🪲 The French health minister assured the nation that there was no need to panic about bedbug infestation, after commuters complained that public transport in Paris was crawling with the bloodsucking insects.
💬"There is no reason for general panic. We are not being invaded by bedbugs. And it is not related to migration, if this needs to be said… It is related to mobility: when you return from abroad, you may bring them on yourself," Aurelien Rousseau told a French radio broadcaster.
Bedbug infestation is giving headaches to the French sanitary watchdog Anses in the run-up to the 2024 summer Olympics. Anses estimates that the insects have invaded one in 10 households across France in the past several years. In recent months, they have been popping up in hotels, cinemas, on trains, and even on ferries.

🇺🇸📉Dow Jones is down 367 points as US Treasury bonds hit a 16-year high
When this story went to press late on Tuesday morning, the Dow Jones was down by 367 points, a 1.1% drop, and the Nasdaq and S&P 500 had suffered even worse losses.
The initiating factor in the mass selloffs was the 10-year and 30-year Treasury bonds hitting their highest levels since August 2007, continuing a trend that began on Monday of rapidly increasing yields. Late on Tuesday morning, it was at 4.77% - even higher than at the opening bell.

💬 "The Arctic Sea has been opening up and it is only natural for the maritime traffic to increase. I see the development of the Northern Sea Routeand the Chennai-Vladivostok corridor as a very positive step in that sense.
There is also growing demand for Russian commodities in the Indian market and Indian finished products could find a seamless transit to the Russia markets and beyond," stated Vasan, an Indian Navy veteran.
🇷🇺 🇮🇳 Vasan, a former Indian Navy officer, asserts that prioritizing the Northern Sea Route as a feasible mode of connectivity between Asia and Europe carries noteworthy geopolitical benefits.
◾ The development of these alternative routes would provide more efficient and reliable trade and transportation options, diminishing reliance on the problematic Suez Canal.

Will India stop buying Russian oil? Unlikely!
🇷🇺🇮🇳 State-owned refiners in India witnessed a 25% surge in imports of Russian oil in September compared with the previous month, according to energy cargo tracker Vortexa.
📈 This rise has contributed to a almost 10% overall rise in India's imports from Russia.
🌐 These findings add further evidence to suggest that the G7 price cap has not posed a substantial hindrance to India's oil imports.
