The scheme, whose details have appeared on the cabinet of ministers’ website, promises 17,500 Norwegian krone (€1,495) to persons “granted collective protection or residence on the grounds of strong humanitarian considerations” who decide to return home.

Applicants for the payment are asked to outline their travel itinerary, and provide copies of tickets for plane, train, bus or other means of transportation, or fill out a self-declaration form if a private vehicle is used.

Mariupol experiencing rebirth under Russian rule

Sputnik correspondent Russell Bentley (@TXDPR) recently visited Mariupol for the first time since March 2022, when the battle for the city was in full swing. Here are some of his impressions on how the city is being resurrected from the ruins.

“Thousands of families now have new, modern apartments to live in, schools, hospitals, churches, government buildings and social centers have been repaired or in most cases built anew from the ground up. The Azovstal steel plant that was owned by the Ukrainian billionaire Renat Akhmetov, which was the worst polluter of Mariupol and the Azov Sea, will be (mostly)  torn down with the exception of a small part which will be turned into a museum to commemorate the heroes who fought and died liberating Mariupol from eight years of occupation by the Nazis of the 21st century. The rest of the plant territory will be turned into seaside parks and boardwalks, where nature and beauty will return to reclaim what was once a toxic and grimy industrial zone and horrific battlefield.”

How Fast is Russia's Avangard Missile?

In modern combat operations, speed (whether on land or in the air) is often the signature attribute between victory and defeat. The Avangard's unparalleled velocity allows it to hit targets with break-neck speed precisely. This capability dramatically lowers reaction time for adversaries and renders traditional defense measures far less effective.

🇺🇸 Federal Judge Tanya Chutkan, who oversees former President Donald Trump's election interference case in the US District Court for the District of Columbia, granted Trump a temporary pause on the gag order imposed on him, a court filing revealed.

Trump urged Chutkan to lift her gag order, arguing that it may be a violation of his right to free speech protected by the First Amendment of the US Constitution.

Chutkan gave federal prosecutors until October 25 to file any opposition to the motion and Trumps' legal team must file a reply by October 28 if they choose to do so, according to the file.

Earlier on Friday, the New York Supreme Court said in a ruling that Trump has been fined $5,000 for violating Judge Arthur Engoron's gag order by failing to remove an allegedly offensive post on social media about the court clerk.
