❗️Although ex-US President Donald Trump “engaged in insurrection” by inciting the 2021 Capitol riot, he can appear on Colorado’s Republican presidential primary in 2024, a district judge has ruled.

The decision ended a public lawsuit seeking to knock Trump off the ballot in Colorado by citing Section 3 of constitutional amendment.
The document stipulates that a person who has previously held civil or military office may not be elected if the candidate has participated in or supported a rebellion or insurrection.

The judge, however, argued that Section Three doesn’t apply to Trump, stating, “After considering the arguments on both sides, the Court is persuaded that ‘officers of the United States’ did not include the President of the United States.”

⛴ The fleet, consisting of the Admiral Tributs, a large anti-submarine ship, and the Pechenga, a medium sea tanker, received a warm welcome at the main base of the Eastern Fleet of the Indian Navy.

A solemn welcoming ceremony was held to honor the arrival of these Russian naval vessels.

At least 42 journalists and media workers have been killed in Gaza and Israel since October 7, according to the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ).

Among the dead were 37 Palestinians, four Israelis, and one Lebanese, according to the committee. Nine other media workers were injured, three journalists were reported missing, and 13 people were arrested.

The organization is also investigating "numerous unconfirmed reports" of other journalists killed, missing, detained, injured or threatened, as well as damage to media offices and staff homes.

🇺🇸 The second attempt to launch the StarShip Super Heavy rocket also failed.

The first stage exploded in mid-air after separating from the rocket, SpaceX said. Operators lost contact with the ship about ten minutes into the flight.

The spacecraft had previously launched from Texas. The plan was for the ship to orbit the Earth and then fall into the Pacific Ocean near the Hawaiian Islands.

The first test flight of the super-heavy rocket took place on April 20. The spacecraft was deliberately blown up during the test flight after it began to lose altitude when multiple engines failed.
