✋🏻 In one of his first interviews as a candidate for governor, Democrat Beto O’Rourke sought to distance himself from President Joe Biden on the politically fraught issue of immigration, criticizing some of the new administration’s policies and calling for “order” and “the rule of law” at the border.
“It’s clear that President Biden could be doing a better job at the border. It is not enough of a priority for his administration.”

🦡 🏒 The wife of the Washington Capitals' captain and Russian national Alexander Ovechkin, Anastasia Shubskaya, said on her Instagram page that her husband's villa was robbed by a raccoon that made its way onto the property from the forest.
According to her, the animal stole the pacifier of Alexander Ovechkin's little son Ilya, taking it out of the stroller.
"It came, took the pacifier out of the stroller, ran away into the bushes, returned and, as if nothing had happened, came to our villa in search of food. The raccoon was barely driven away," Shubskaya said.

What a twist!
😬 Kamala Harris' niece Meena has said parents can teach 'anti-racism at home' by telling their children the U.S. was founded by white supremacists and by filling their bookshelves with the works of 1619 Project founder Nikole Hannah-Jones.
In a Washington Post op/ed published Tuesday night, Harris detailed how parents can educate kids by talking to them about the 'racism' that shapes America and how the country was 'stolen from Indigenous people'.

🤔 What's the biggest order you've ever placed at McDonald's? The 50-piece McNugget, four large fries and some Cokes?
🤯 A McDonald's employee claimed she took a $7,000 order in a TikTok video that went viral.
Brittani Marie Curtis posted a TikTok video on November 10 with the caption "no lie, ya girl is TIRED!"
Curtis said in the video's comment section that the order was for a local prison in Perry, Georgia, and staff only had four hours to make the order. The McDonald's is located near the Houston County Detention Center, according to WSB-TV Atlanta, but it's unclear if that is the location the order was for.

🤨 Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez confused a number of facts about fossil fuels in a video to her followers explaining why pipelines are bad for the country.
The congresswoman mistakenly asserted that the Keystone XL and Line 3 pipelines were proposed to increase U.S. natural gas exports in the video she posted on her Instagram account Saturday.
The two pipelines would transport crude oil, not natural gas, from Canada into the U.S. as an import, according to their operators.

🤬 Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas grilled Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Tuesday about children being held in "Biden cages" at the US-Mexico border.
“How many children have been in the Biden cages in calendar year 2021?” Cruz asked the DHS chief during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.
Cruz displayed a photograph of kids jammed into pens taken at Donna earlier this year in the spring. He said that in the photo, children were seen "sleeping on floors, crashed in upon each other. When I took this photograph, the rate of COVID-19 positivity was over 10 percent."

🙅♂️ A New Hampshire high school student is suing his school district for reportedly suspending him from playing football after he said there are “only two genders.” His lawsuit also aims to prohibit the school from enforcing a policy related to gender-nonconforming students.
The Exeter High School freshman claims he received a one-game suspension from the school’s football team after he wrote text messages to another student off school grounds that he believes just two genders exist: male and female.
The lawsuit, filed Nov. 4 by the Christian organization Cornerstone Action, also alleges that the student’s First Amendment rights were violated by the school’s policy on gender identity and pronouns, which says students have the right to be addressed by the name and pronoun of their choice.
