🚨 New homicide records set all over the country in 2021

According to the local authorities, new homicide records have been set in 16 U.S. cities this year. From the East Coast to the West, police departments have noted a worsening trend.

For example, Austin, Texas saw a record 88 homicide deaths in 2021; in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the number of homicides was 524 in 2021, with its previous record being 500 in 1990. Other cities like Tucson, Portland, Houston, Atlanta, New Haven, Indianapolis and Memphis, are also nearing record high homicide levels in 2021.

Civilian deaths from US Strikes in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan were downplayed by Pentagon, The New York Times reports.

Thousands of civilians, including children, were killed by US airstrikes that were conducted with imprecise targeting and "deeply flawed intelligence."

The newspaper has studied 1,311 documents from a hidden Pentagon archive, concluding that the civilian death toll was a lot higher than the 1,417 civilian deaths reported by the US military in Iraq and Syria and the 188 deaths reported in Afghanistan.
