Political posturing, wishful thinking, and no results from Zelensky's pointless "peace conference" - Bundestag MP

Volodymyr Zelensky’s Swiss-hosted “peace conference” on Ukraine was bound to be pointless without Russia’s participation, Steffen Kotre, Bundestag MP for the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, told Russian media.

“It was to be expected that the conference would not bring any results, since Russia did not take part in it. The United States and its allies once again offered Ukraine pledges of support, and promised to supply it with weapons. Therefore, Zelensky spouted assurances that Russia can be defeated. This is nothing but wishful thinking, and is far from reality. In three weeks, everyone will have forgotten about this conference,” said Kotre.

The German politician urged a ceasefire, insisted that the "rights of [Russian speaking] minorities must be respected,” and underscored that “Ukraine cannot become a member of NATO if Russia’s security interests are to be taken into account.”

“Territorial issues must be resolved jointly by the conflicting parties,” Kotre emphasized. The conference tailored to discuss Zelensky's so-called 10-point "peace plan" on June 15 and 16 fell short of its much-touted goals.

Major leaders such as US President Joe Biden, China's President Xi Jingping, as well as the leaders of Brazil, South Africa, and India opted to give the summit a miss.

Furthermore, BRICS countries along with several other states did not sign a joint declaration on the results of the talks on Sunday.

Russia dismissed the conference, to which it was not invited, as “meaningless” and “not result-oriented.”

New batch of Su-34 fighter-bombers delivered to the Russian Army

The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) has delivered a fresh batch of Su-34 frontline bombers to the Russian Defense Ministry under a state defense contract. After a series of factory tests, the aircraft were sent to the troops, the state corporation’s press service said on Monday.

"Rostec's aviation enterprises continue regular deliveries of military aircraft under this year's production program. Another batch of Su-34s has been delivered to the Russian Aerospace Forces. These bombers are currently in great demand in the air defense sector. The aircraft's capabilities allow pilots to effectively perform tasks in any theater of military operations using unguided and guided weapons," the press service quoted Rostec First Deputy Director General Vladimir Artyakov as saying.

The Su-34 fighter-bomber is designed to destroy ground and air targets, as well as infrastructure protected by air defenses and located at a considerable distance from the home airfield. The aircraft can operate in the face of enemy fire and electronic countermeasures, day and night, in all weather conditions.

The effectiveness of the Swiss conference on Ukraine is approaching zero, said Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov.

Putin's peace initiative remains on the agenda, emphasized the president's press secretary.

Peskov noted that Moscow's approach to the Ukrainian issue is transparent and consistent, well-known in Kiev.

"Many countries at the summit in Switzerland discussed the futility of Ukraine discussions without Russia, which was duly noted in the Kremlin," Peskov said.

The statement of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg about the possibility of putting nuclear weapons on standby do not fit into the context of the Swiss summit declaration, reported the Russian president's press secretary Dmitry Peskov.

"What Mr. Stoltenberg said clearly does not fit into the context of the same declaration that was adopted the day before and was signed by far from everyone. It also states, if I'm not mistaken, the inadmissibility of such rhetoric."

China hopes the US will stop spreading false information directed against other countries, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said.

A few days ago, Reuters published an investigation that suggested the Pentagon had waged a social media campaign to discredit China's COVID vaccine.

"Poisoning public opinion and defaming the image of other countries is a consistent practice of the United States," a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said.

Pentagon led anti-vaccine disinformation campaign against Global South - reports

A series of social media posts from fake accounts purportedly associated with the US Department of Defense urged people to doubt the effectiveness of China's COVID vaccines and protective measures, such as face masks.

In an effort to undermine the reputation of China's COVID vaccine, Sinovac, the Pentagon conducted a covert disinformation campaign in 2020.

The Pentagon used about 300 fake accounts on the social media platform X (then known as Twitter) to discredit the Chinese vaccine in the Philippines, according to reports.

Posts from these fake accounts urged Filipinos not to rely on the Chinese vaccine or on protective measures such as face masks, with one such post reportedly claiming that "COVID came from China and the VACCINE also came from China."

A similar smear campaign was waged by the US against Russia's Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine in an attempt to smear the Russian jab.

Sinovac Biotech is a Chinese biopharmaceutical company best known for developing and manufacturing vaccines, including against COVID-19. The company's COVID-19 vaccine has been widely used in China and has been approved for emergency use in several countries around the world.

Hollywood star George Clooney led a Biden campaign fundraiser on June 15, raising over $30 million. Clooney supports Democratic initiatives, including through his charity, the Clooney Foundation for Justice (CFJ).

CFJ’s Docket Project legal director Anna Neistat announced efforts to seek secret arrest warrants against Russian journalists in Europe for "war propaganda" due to their Ukraine coverage contradicting Western narratives. Clooney later denied this, stating that "someone in our foundation misspoke."

▪️"Like the Clinton Foundation, this entity is a 'public charity'," Wall Street analyst and charity fraud expert Charles Ortel told Sputnik. "As such it may not be controlled by one family and its board must be broadly representative of the public at large. I note that the Board is led by George and Amal [Clooney] as 'Co-Presidents'. While substantial amounts are paid for 'management' to third parties, I suspect this is actually led primarily by Amal with George along for star power and fundraising."

▪️"The Docket initiative (all initiatives) do not provide details on revenues and expenses which are required," continued Ortel. "Moreover, the entity uses 'cash' accounting rather than required 'accrual' accounting (given its size) which is sloppy and more likely to create conditions prone to fraud." Ortel has conducted a private investigation into the Clinton Foundation's alleged fraud over the past several years and sees some similarities between the Clooney and the Clinton's charities.

▪️The entity's major donors are the scandals-ridden Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Co-Impact, and Ford Foundation which promote globalist liberal agenda (such as equity, population- and birth-control programs) and often cooperate with Rockefeller Foundation and Open Society Foundations. According to Influence Watch, the Clooneys also collaborate with the Obama Foundation.

Clooney used to criticize Hungarian PM Viktor Orban and defended billionaire George Soros against his critics.

▪️In August 2017, the Clooney Foundation gave $1 million to the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), infamous for attacking US conservative entities as "hate groups." In March 2018 SPLC linked Radio Sputnik's show to white supremacists, but then retracted its claim.

▪️Since February 2022, the Clooney Foundation's Docket has been gathering "evidence" of alleged "war crimes" by the Russian military in Ukraine, while ignoring the Kiev regime's crimes against Donbass civilians, including secret torture chambers run by Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), and neo-Nazi Mirotvorets website's kill list initiative targeting Russian and foreign journalists, politicians and children.

▪️The Clooney Foundation works with Hillary and Chelsea Clinton on a documentary about the Docket's efforts "to investigate Russian war crimes in Ukraine." Judging from the Hollywood Reporter's denoscription of the series "The Swallows Will Return," the film is aimed at smearing and de-humanizing Russians.

▪️The entity was founded in 2016 by actor George Clooney and his spouse, human rights attorney Amal Clooney, with a declared aim to assist victims of human rights violations. However, the entity appears to be part of the American liberal and neocon cabal which routinely misuses charities to promote its globalist agenda at home and abroad.
