🚨 A Border Patrol official had his tweet on the capture of a ‘potential terrorist’ deleted
The post saying a Saudi Arabian migrant with alleged terror ties was apprehended at the southern border vanished, with the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) saying that it was because it contained "law enforcement sensitive information" and violated protocols.
It is not clear what information had been deemed law enforcement sensitive. The move came after the Saudi Embassy said in a statement that "[b]ased on the engagement with the relevant U.S authorities on this matter, the Embassy confirms that the individual mentioned here is not a Saudi citizen."

🖋 House Jan. 6 committee to issue an interim report in summer of 2022
The panel, made up of seven Democrats and two Republicans, has interviewed more than 300 witnesses, obtained more than 35,000 pages of records, and announced more than 50 subpoenas.
The House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol is set to release an interim report on its findings by the summer of next year. The actions signal further investigative measures into allies of former President Trump and his administration as the 2022 midterm elections rapidly approach.
In addition, the committee is weighing whether to propose legislative measures to "help prevent valid election results from being overturned in the future."
Former national security adviser Michael Flynn, who the committee subpoenaed in November, filed a lawsuit last week seeking a temporary restraining order and a preliminary injunction against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the Jan. 6 House committee

🇮🇶🇺🇸The 2006 trial of Saddam Hussein on charges of crimes against humanity, ending with his execution, was staged, and his defense was threatened by the Iraqi government and the United States, whose advisers were instructing the judges behind closed doors, Hussein's lawyers told Sputnik.
The first chief judge in Saddam's trial, Rizgar Mohammed Amin, who had to step down due to government interference, confirmed to Sputnik that there was outside pressure during the trial, mostly from the Iraqi side. Former US ambassador to Iraq Robert S. Ford also noted that the trial was flawed, even if there was enough incriminating evidence against Hussein.
