The hostage-taker is reportedly demanding the release of his sister Aafia Siddiqui, who allegedly had ties to al-Qaida (terror group, banned in Russia), was convicted of attempted murder of a US soldier in 2010 and was sentenced to 86 years in prison.

🌺 As he was on his way to meet a friend, Giuliani unwittingly became a witness to an altercation between a man and a woman. When he tried to step in as a mediator, the politician received a flower pot in the face, which allegedly was destined for the lady.
🗣 “Thankfully it was a plastic pot and not a clay pot. The soil mostly hit me. But I wasn’t expecting it. It was a little bit of a shock,” Giuliani said.

❗️ US President Joe Biden has called the attack on a synagogue in the town of Colleyville, Texas an "act of terror" after discussing the incident with the attorney general.
Biden said there was not enough information to establish what the attacker's motives were, but added that he allegedly got his weapons from the street.
