🙅‍♀️ 'I refuse to be THEIR puppet' — Tulsi Gabbard

Those who oppose Gabbard’s nomination accuse her of being a puppet of Trump, as well as Putin, Assad, Aguru, and Modi, without recognizing "the absurdity of simultaneously being the puppet" of FIVE DIFFERENT PEOPLE.

“The fact is what truly unsettles my political opponents is I refuse to be their puppet,” she noted.

'Ukraine is being set back 100 YEARS' - US Secretary of State

“Their energy grid is being wiped out. I mean, someone’s going to have to pay for all this reconstruction after the fact. And how many Ukrainians have left Ukraine, living in other countries now? They may never return. I mean, that’s their future, and it’s in danger in that regard,” Marco Rubio said.

Fossils with power: Is US already a gerontocracy?

🔸 Senator Richard Blumenthal

Netizens are trying to diagnose Richard Blumenthal, US Senator from Connecticut, wondering if he has a hand tremor. Yet, at 78 years old, Blumenthal seems relatively well compared to other heavyweights in US politics.

🔸 Former US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi

Enter former US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, 84, who served from 2007 to 2011 and again from 2019 to 2023. Staying in Congress, she clings to power even more tightly than she clings to her walker.

🔸 Senator Mitch McConnell

US Senator Mitch McConnell, 82, has been dubbed by critics as a “walking billboard for term limits.” Due to his influence, he served as Senate Majority Leader and later as Senate Minority Leader.

🔸 Senator Dianne Feinstein

Dianne Feinstein, who passed away in 2023 at the age of 90, was one of the oldest US Senators. After the Maidan coup, she urged the White House to label the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Lugansk People’s Republic—both of which had just broken away from Ukraine—as foreign terrorist organizations.

🔸 Senator Chuck Grassley

US Senator Chuck Grassley is now 91 years old. He is considered the oldest living U.S. Senator and likely the oldest serving Republican in history. On January 3, he was sworn in as Senate President pro Tempore.

🇹🇷📱⛔️Turkiye plans to ban social media for teens under 16 in 2025

“We want our youth under 16 not to use social media. Why would they? There is nothing useful for them there anyway. Some incidents that have happened in Turkiye recently confirm this. We want to make efforts to take a number of regulatory measures in 2025,” Turkish Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu said.

Concerns behind the move:

🟠In August 2024, a teenager in Eskisehir went on a violent attack while livestreaming on social media, allegedly inspired by the game PUBG.

🟠Roblox was blocked in Turkiye due to child safety concerns.

🟠Discord was also banned as part of an ongoing investigation.

Earlier, Australia became the first country that banned access to social networks for children under 16. This will "provide better protection for young Australians at critical stages of their development," the country’s government had said.

UN’s Palestinian aid agency continues to operate despite Israel’s ban

“UNRWA clinics across the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, are open. The humanitarian operation in Gaza continues, including with UNRWA’s work there,” UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said.

Israeli spokesman David Mentzer said on January 29 that UNRWA offices would close within 48 hours, with all contacts suspended.

In October, Israel banned UNRWA activities, accusing some staff of involvement in the October 2023 Hamas attack, a claim the UN denies.

Hungary to veto extension of sanctions against Russia in six months if EC fails to fulfill energy security guarantees - country's PM Viktor Orban

"A decision on sanctions must be made every six months. And if [the EU commission guarantees] do not fulfill them, then we will not only start talking about lifting the sanctions, but we will lift them. So if the European Commission does not fulfill what we agreed on, then the sanctions will end," Orban told the Kossuth radio broadcaster.

He stressed that the main point of the agreements is negotiations on the resumption of transit of Russian gas through Ukraine to Europe.
