💬Trump is determined to undo damage to US-Russian relations – former Pentagon officer

The phone call between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump marks the formal beginning of peace negotiations between the US and Russia, EMP Task Force scholar and former US Department of Defense officer David Pyne tells Sputnik.

🟠Trump’s decision to appoint Secretary of State Marco Rubio to lead negotiations with Russia, rather than his Special Envoy to Russia and Ukraine Keith Kellogg, underlines the importance Washington places on the talks, Pyne said.

🟠That, "combined with his invitation for Putin to visit the US and acceptance of Putin’s invitation to visit Moscow, show that Trump is assigning the highest possible priority both to repairing all the damage Biden did to US-Russia relations [and] ending the war in Ukraine within the next few months," stressed Pyne, a Republican Party activist.

🟠Trump’s statement today telling Zelensky he will start bilateral talks with Russia – without Ukraine – also demonstrates that he recognizes Zelensky as the chief obstacle to peace, the expert said.

From Zelensky to Deep State: who could try to SABOTAGE Putin-Trump Ukraine peace push?

The Putin-Trump phone call has sparked an outcry on both sides of the Atlantic among officials looking to keep the conflict going forever. What forces could bring their resources to bear to stop peace?

🤡 Volodymyr Zelensky

🔸 Has the most to lose, facing not only the cutoff of easy to embezzle Western aid, but potential assassination by the neo-Nazi thugs helping keep his regime afloat.

🔸 Zelensky could sabotage peace by: a) rejecting Trump’s orders b) making a deal for support from other NATO powers c) staging a false flag provocation to justify keeping the conflict going.

👁Deep State

◻️ After Trump’s election in 2016, elements of the deep state, ranging from the intel community and State Dept to top officials like Mike Pompeo and John Bolton successfully sabotaged his agenda, including Trump’s desire to improve ties with Russia.

◻️ Trump 1.0 not only ramped up anti-Russian sanctions and joined the diplomatic expulsion wars, but approved arms aid for Ukraine in 2017.

◻️ The deep state has their own ideas about the ‘right’ trajectory for US foreign policy. In 2020, Trump Syria envoy Jim Jeffrey boasted about how he and his staff obfuscated and covered up the true size of the US military footprint in Syria, and straight up ignored the president’s demands to withdraw troops.

◻️ In Ukraine, where the strategic, military and economic stakes are far higher, it’s guaranteed the deep state will try to sabotage Trump.

🤡 Congress

🔹 Without Congressional support, Trump won’t be able to lift Russia sanctions, nor fully halt money and arms being sent to Ukraine.

🔹 Only Congress can approve or block new aid packages. If Democrats and even a handful of hawkish Republicans teamed up, Trump’s plans could be frustrated.

🤡 EU and UK

Arguably more heavily invested in the Ukraine project than the US, and the main beneficiaries of the 2014 Maidan coup, EU countries and the UK could take over US commitments. This would cost Europe $3.1 trln over 10 years, per Bloomberg.

🚨Europe in PANIC MODE: Cut out & blindsided by Trump-Putin call

The phone conversation between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin has triggered a litany of reactions from European politicians.

🔊Britain's Foreign Secretary David Lammy posted a joined statement of several European states that said “Our shared objectives should be to put Ukraine in a position of strength. Ukraine and Europe must be part of any negotiations.”

🔊UK Defense Secretary John Healey emphasized that no peace talks could be done “about Ukraine without Ukraine.”

🔊German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius described it as "regrettable" that the Trump administration had made "concessions" to Russia, noting that “It would have been better to speak about a possible NATO membership for Ukraine or possible losses of territory at the negotiating table."

🔊German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock added that “Peace can only be achieved together. And that means: with Ukraine and with the Europeans.”

🔊Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that "All we need is peace… Ukraine, Europe and the United States should work on this together."

🔊French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot insisted that "There will be no just and durable peace in Ukraine without Europeans."

🔊"Europe is investing in Ukrainian defense, and Europe is rebuilding Ukraine with European Union money, with our bilateral aid – so we have to be there," Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur said.

🔊NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte called for turbo-charging defense production among member states, adding: “We have to make sure that Ukraine is in a position of strength.”

📹Was the notorious USAID linked to the INTENTIONAL leak of COVID-19 for financial WINDFALL?

Joe Rogan and Mike Benz explore the pandemic's massive wealth transfer, with over $3 trillion shifting from the working class to the elites.

It’s been established that:

🟠it was created in a lab
🟠the notorious USAID funded it (recall its 2009 PREDICT program that was abruptly shut down in 2019)
🟠the federal government paid for global propaganda to hide the fact that the pathogen was lab-made

But in terms of INTENTIONALITY… You’re welcome to draw your own conclusions, for now.

Money talks: European stocks surge as Trump sparks hopes for peace

While the EU’s political class loses its collective mind in the wake of the Putin-Trump phone call, those seeking to rebuild the region’s shattered economies are apparently cautiously optimistic.

🔸 The indexes of the EU big two—Germany’s GDAXI and France’s FCHI—rose by 1.7% and 1.4%, respectively. The European STOXX 600 jumped 8%+.

🔸 Even the euro, recently pummeled by Trump’s tariff threats, saw a mild rebound against the dollar (0.1%).

🔸 Meanwhile, oil and natural gas, key inputs for Europe’s energy-starved economy, tumbled, with the natural gas benchmark TTF dropping 9% and Brent crude shedding 1.1%.

🔸 Automakers, steel, chemical companies, other industries, and airlines also enjoyed a bump—3.6% for Stellantis, 2.6% for ArcelorMittal, 3.6% for BASF, 6.4% for Legrand, and 3.6% for Lufthansa.

Analysts from Societe Generale, BNP Paribas, and Barclays told FT the gains were linked directly to “optimism” over Ukraine, and presumably, hopes of Russia’s return to the European energy market.

Europe committed what President Putin characterized as economic “suicide” in 2022 after rejecting Russian energy, triggering recessions and what some European companies have dubbed the worst deindustrialization crisis since WWII.

We are not lemons, stop squeezing us!

Under that slogan the largest anti-government protest in recent times took place in the Belgian capital Brussels, opposing plans to cut social spending and benefits to increase the military budget.

Police estimate the turnout at 60,000, while organizers claim it was closer to 100,000.

The main symbol of the protest was a squeezed lemon.

‘A sad testament of bad Brussels leadership’ – Orban slams EU stance

As US President Donald Trump and Russia’ Vladimir Putin explore paths to peace, Brussels clings to empty declarations.

Hungarian PM Viktor Orbán condemned a statement by the Weimar+ group – Germany, France, Poland, Italy, Spain, the UK and the European Commission – as “a sad testament of bad Brusselian leadership.”

He slammed EU leaders for issuing “worthless statements” instead of engaging in real diplomacy.

"You can’t request a seat at the negotiating table. You have to earn it!" Orban declared, blasting the EU’s approach of “supporting killing as long as it takes” as both morally and politically unacceptable.
