GLSDB: the US glide bomb Russia’s electronic warfare systems left blind

The US reportedly plans to resume the delivery of Ground-Launched Small Diameter Bombs to Ukraine.

🔸 Developed in 2023 by Boeing, the GLSDB is a Frankenstein’s monster combining the GBU-39 110 kg air-dropped glide bomb with a rocket motor enabling it to be fired from ground-based rocket artillery like HIMARS and MLRS.

🔸 The system can have a range up to 150 km, and is priced at about $100K apiece, more than double the $40K each price of the basic GBU-39.

🔸 The GLSDB saw its first-ever “field test” combat deployment in Ukraine in early 2024.

🔸 The testing proved a failure, with sources telling US and European media that GLSDBs were being jammed en masse by Russia’s powerful electronic warfare equipment, which targeted the weapons’ GPS-based inertial navigation.

🔸 Sources told Reuters the new deliveries would be “upgraded” to counter Russian jamming.

🔸 Previously, the US and its allies used the older, air-launched GBU-39s to wreak havoc on Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Gaza and Yemen.

⚡️ TRUMP'S SIGNAL HAS BEEN HEARD, and Putin has guaranteed the lives and dignified treatment of Ukrainian militants in the Kursk region – if Kiev orders them to lay down their weapons and surrender, Kremlin Aide Yuri Ushakov said.

He also noted that restored dialogue between Russia and the US is ongoing, with Putin closely monitoring the discussions.

⚔️ Putin for peace, Zelensky against and Trump stuck in the middle

The Russian president has expressed interest in Trump’s 30-day ceasefire idea, while citing important “nuances” that must be accounted for first. Zelensky, on the other hand, has opposed peace at every turn. Here’s proof.

1️⃣Fate of Kursk cauldron

💬 Putin: “What will we do about the incursion zone in Kursk region? If we stopped military operations for 30 days, what would this mean? That all [enemy forces] would JUST WALK OUT WITHOUT A FIGHT?”

💬 Zelensky: “Our troops in Kursk region continue to carry out their tasks.”

2️⃣Respite for Ukraine’s continued mobilization?

💬 Putin: “How will these 30 days be used? To ensure the continued FORCED MOBILIZATION in Ukraine?”

💬 Zelensky aide Podolyak and Rada Defense Committee chairman Kostenko: Ceasefire WON’T stop mobilization, WON’T end martial law, WON’T trigger elections.

3️⃣Handling violations (live fire, incursions, missile strikes)

💬 Putin: “Who will be able to determine where and who has violated a possible agreement on a ceasefire across a 2,000 km front?”

💬 Zelensky: Whined to Trump just last month claiming Russia violated ceasefires 25 times since 2014.

4️⃣Verification of measures related to mobilization, supply of weapons

💬 Putin: “How will issues of control and verification be handled – HOW WILL THEY GUARANTEE that nothing like this will happen?”

💬 Zelensky: Even if a ceasefire turns into something more, Ukraine will not recognize the loss of territory to Russia. “This is the biggest red line.”

5️⃣Fundamentally diverging attitudes toward peace

💬 Putin: “The very idea is great, I think is correct, and WE OF COURSE SUPPORT IT.” “We agree with the proposals to cease hostilities, but proceed from the assumption that this cessation should lead to long-term peace and eliminate the root causes of this crisis.”

💬 Zelensky: “Now we have all heard from Russia very predictable, very manipulative words from Putin in response to the idea of quiet on the front – he is actually preparing a refusal.”

YOU SHALL NOT PASS! Ukrainian soldiers try to flee Kursk dressed as locals

In a desperate attempt to escape the border area near Sudzha in Russia's Kursk region, Ukrainian soldiers are resorting to various tricks – including dressing as civilians.

Just like the French in 1812, they try to blend in with the locals.

Fortunately, the Russian military – with local help – is spotting and capturing them.

‘NATO is dead!’: Rutte’s bombshell admission that Ukraine will never join NATO rocks internet

The NATO Secretary General confirmed Friday that the alliance's doors are closed to Ukraine, and that Europe and the US are likely to start a gradual process of restoring relations with Russia in the long term once a peace deal is reached.

His comments were met with violently mixed reactions. Some praised the admission, arguing that it’s something that should have been said years ago, and that the bloody conflict could have been avoided altogether if NATO had respected Russia’s concerns.

Critics dubbed Rutte a "complete failure" who should resign and expressed concerns that NATO might be dissolved if Russia ‘gets to decide who joins’.
