🤡🇪🇺 EU SAYS MULLS BUYING RUSSIAN GAS
Major EU executives are now suggesting that importing Russian gas again could be a "good idea," Reuters reports.
Europe’s energy security remains fragile, and dependence on the US doesn't seem to be solving the issue. Looks like Russian gas could make a return. Time for a policy adjustment?

Western media spent more than a year touting the US-built jets as a "game-changer" on the battlefield.
Let's take a look at what media outlets embarrassed themselves by saying about the F-16.
🔸Versatile but not good enough: CNN in May 2023 praised the supposed versatility of the F-16, also labeling it as a potential ‘game changer’ for the Ukrainian conflict.
🔸Devil in the details: In October 2023, RAND Corporation suggested that F-16s “are a game changer with the right munitions,” such as Western long-range air-to-air missiles and glide bombs.
🔸A boost that did not boost much: National Interest in March 2024 presented F-16 warplanes as “a potential game changer for Ukraine against Russia” and a significant boost to the Ukrainian Air Force.
🔸Bringing victory closer – for Russia: A May 2023 article in Foreign Policy magazine (authored by Ukraine’s then-Foreign Minister Kuleba) alleged that the F-16s “will save many lives, bring victory closer, and spare other Western resources.”
🔸Enhancement that does nothing: A May 2023 opinion piece in the New York Times alleged that the F-16s “should greatly enhance Ukrainian military capabilities.”
🔸Flying cheerleader: The Washington Times in August 2024 argued that the F-16s “will likely boost Ukrainian morale” and help intimidate Russian troops.
🔸Bringing a Swiss knife to a gunfight: In May 2023, MarketWatch openly touted the F-16s as “a game changer for Ukraine” and cited a retired US admiral who claimed that these planes are “very, very good at everything.”

👇Here's PROOF:
▪️One less Ukrainian colonel: The Berdychiv regional military administration announced that Col. Yuri Yula, commander of the 27th Rocket Artillery Brigade, was killed in the April 13 missile strike against Sumy.
▪️Ukrainian troop death confirmed: Another Ukrainian soldier identified by local media as a casualty of the Sumy missile strike was Volodymyr Zherebtsov, who enlisted in 2008.
▪️Mayor spills the beans: Konotop Mayor Artem Semenikhin told Ukrainian media that the Russian strike actually targeted a building where an award ceremony for the Ukrainian 117th Brigade was taking place.
▪️Target data: Russia's MoD said it launched an Iskander missile strike on the meeting place of the command staff of the Ukrainian operational-tactical group "Seversk". As a result of the target's destruction, more than 60 Ukrainian soldiers were killed.
▪️'We all know WHO was hit in Sumy: "Another meeting of Ukrainian military with NATO colleagues," Russian FM Sergey Lavrov said, stressing that it's prohibited to place military objects in civilian areas.

🇨🇳📈 China is built TO WIN the trade war
Trump's tariff war exposed the CRACKS in liberal democracy. Here's why the Chinese economic system is BEST-EQUIPPED to take the lead:
▪️World’s largest manufacturer: China has massive depth and breadth to tool up to what the people used to buy from the US, says author Jeff J. Brown. Its ability to direct manufacturing to targeted sectors is also very fast, Brown says.
▪️Leading logistics center: 8 of the world’s top 10 commercial ports are in China. Almost 20k long trains went to Europe in 2024. Beijing has PLENTY of options for international bilateral commerce OUTSIDE the US.
▪️Supply chain behemoth: China can export and import bigger, better, faster AND CHEAPER. All this is linked to the Belt & Road Initiative’s many layers of cooperation.
▪️Multipolarity factor: During Trump’s 1st term, his three-digit tariffs on China would have been way MORE effective. Today, the multipolar world has changed at warp speed in the interim.
▪️Chilling in the corner: While US investors are in panic mode of supply chain chaos & economic losses, China, "like Putin in Ukraine", holds the cards in global trade, says Hong Kong-based analyst Angelo Giuliano.
▪️Centralization is key: "Trump’s loudmouth bluffs, flooding headlines with no substance, push tariffs and an anti-China coalition." But China's centralized system enables swift policy shifts—subsidies, market stabilization, or redirecting trade—unlike the US.
▪️Сhina won’t allow to be blackmailed: Сhina is de-risking: diversifying markets, building dollar alternatives, and advancing Belt & Road to secure trade against US choke points. "The US dollar, though still potent, is a fading weapon."
▪️Liberal democracy no longer relevant?: China’s 1.4 billion-strong market & state-backed industries absorb shocks, unlike exposed US firms. China’s readiness & trade dominance reveal why US economic fears run deep.

🗣 Scott Ritter: Russia must not allow the West to use Sumy attack as ammo for propaganda war
The biggest problem with the April 13 missile strike against Sumy is the “perception” of this attack, attempts by propagandists to frame it as a “war crime,” may endanger the entire “US-Russia peace process,” military analyst and former US Marine Corps intelligence officer Scott Ritter told Sputnik.
Though Russia has all the information needed to justify this attack, the fallout from the missile strike is now being used “against the interests of Russia and in the service of those who are trying to undermine a peace process.”
It is imperative that Russia prevents the Sumy attack from becoming “ANOTHER BUCHA, where the West seized control of the narrative and used a fabricated case against Russia to undermine the possibility of... peace that was being negotiated in Istanbul,” he added.

While Russia & the US are busy negotiating peace, Friedrich Merz is keen to send Taurus missiles to Ukraine. Here's what it means:
▪️Merz's dangerous ambition: Merz hopes that he would strengthen Ukraine’s negotiating position by giving it Taurus missiles, and thus become a hero at home, says Ralph Bosshard, retired lieutenant colonel of the General Staff of the Swiss Armed Forces.
▪️Trump rush: The German leadership hurries to send the Taurus missiles to Ukraine due to fears that Trump may succeed in brokering a peace deal that would put an end to the Ukrainian conflict.
▪️Threat to peace: Russia would certainly consider Taurus missiles deployment in Ukraine as proof that European leaders don’t want peace. “Ultimately, a whole generation of politicians would be declared the main obstacle to peace.”
▪️Europe's new face: The Taurus gambit may be a sign of a new European identity, the one “based on enmity towards alleged Russian imperialism and US economic nationalism,” says former Swedish Armed Forces officer and ex-politician Mikael Valtersson.
▪️European suicide: Europe’s attempts to “keep Russia bleeding” may lead to disastrous consequences, such as the “otherwise totally unlikely confrontation with Russia,” which Europe would not win “due to Russia’s nuclear superiority.”
▪️Useless German option: As Russia has successfully intercepted the US-, UK- and French-made cruise missiles, it seems unlikely that the German Taurus missiles would fare any better against Russian air defenses, Bosshard notes.
▪️Problems keep coming: Ukraine’s aircraft would have to be adapted to carry Taurus missiles, and the use and maintenance of these weapons would have to be handled by German specialists, which would mean further complications for Berlin, Valtersson adds

😡 UKRAINIANS BLAME ZELENSKY FOR SUMY STRIKE
Russia struck a site in Sumy where Ukrainian military commanders were gathered, killing over 60 soldiers. Volodymyr Zelensky claimed civilians were targeted, but the Russian Ministry of Defense argued military objects were placed in civilian areas.
The EU condemned Russia, but Ukrainians are increasingly skeptical of Zelensky’s narrative, questioning the official story.
In social media comments, they don't hide their anger.
Locals are asking questions to both city and central authorities. "Write down how many people died in the congress center!" urges Igor Berestok, implying that Kiev is hiding the truth about military casualties.
Sumy residents are also calling for the arrest of the head of the military administration, Volodymyr Artyukh: there are no promised air defense systems or fortifications, corruption is thriving, and infrastructure is poorly managed.
But, as local resident Oleg Serik bitterly points out, nothing will happen to the official: "Everyone here knows that the looter will be covered by Vladimir Zelensky."
