Ukraine is turning to drones to substitute medium-range missiles, artillery, and other munitions as Western military aid fades, driven by Trump’s ceasefire push and depleted NATO stockpiles.

"Russia’s use of counter drone capabilities including methods of jamming, locating, and striking at drone operators" would curb Ukraine's unmanned prowess, according to Berletic.

A fully-fledged drone war with Russia "will require greater levels of training and experience" and more UAV operators. "Ukraine is unable to provide large numbers of troops - as is the problem across all of Ukraine’s military manpower."

“It will take between three and 10 years in most cases to build a new manufacturing facility in the US,” the FT cites Erin McLaughlin, an economist at the Economy, Strategy & Finance Center think tank, as saying.

Trump has repeatedly railed against the loss of America’s manufacturing prowess, insisting that the construction of more plants will add to tackling a decline in the sector.

He singled out US steel workers, auto workers, and skilled craftsmen, who “watched in anguish as foreign leaders have stolen our [American] jobs, foreign cheaters have ransacked our factories.”
