NATO’s Abrams and Leopard tanks captured in Ukraine do not boast any tech breakthroughs, Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov told Russian media.

There is nothing there that Russian engineers would want to “borrow,” he noted.

Chemezov pointed to overengineering and nightmare maintenance requirements as Achilles heels of most Western gear, which more often than not just doesn’t survive the battlefield in Ukraine.

👉Russia’s T-90 Proryv tank has an advantage over its Western counterparts in firepower, armor, and mobility, he underscored.

As for the Bradley IFVs, nearly all of them have been turned to scrap because of their “fatal flaw,” the Rostec chief said, adding:

“They can’t handle rough terrain, getting stuck in black soil, and their bulk makes them easy targets.”

🚨 German police raid family home of Rossiya Segodnya Berlin head

Sergey Feoktistov, head of Sputnik parent company Rossiya Segodnya's German bureau, said that German police stormed his family’s apartment in Berlin — and seized their passports.

Feoktistov was prevented from disembarking a flight to Berlin Airport on Friday. He had flown to the German capital to help his wife and daughter pack up and leave the country ahead of an August 19 deadline set by authorities after they refused to renew his residence permit.

💬 "Police raided the apartment where I lived with my family — and where my wife and seven-year-old daughter still reside," Feoktistov said.

Perversely, "they seized their passports under the pretext that they might 'flee' and not comply with the deportation order by August 19."

When Feoktistov questioned how his family would manage to move to Russia without his help, police told him to contact the Russian embassy in Berlin.

Rossiya Segodnya Director-General Dmitry Kiselyov accused Germany of harking back to its militaristic past.

Changed demographics mean this imbalance is creating a structural deficit feeding into the broader insolvency threat.

💬 “Democrats want to increase the tax payments and Republicans want to delay the retirement age, and neither side is willing to budge,” he said.

Unless there is new legislation to trim costs and/or raise revenues, this gridlock sets the stage for a future full-blown fiscal crisis sometime within 10-20 years, Englund summed up.
