🚨 German police raid family home of Rossiya Segodnya Berlin head

Sergey Feoktistov, head of Sputnik parent company Rossiya Segodnya's German bureau, said that German police stormed his family’s apartment in Berlin — and seized their passports.

Feoktistov was prevented from disembarking a flight to Berlin Airport on Friday. He had flown to the German capital to help his wife and daughter pack up and leave the country ahead of an August 19 deadline set by authorities after they refused to renew his residence permit.

💬 "Police raided the apartment where I lived with my family — and where my wife and seven-year-old daughter still reside," Feoktistov said.

Perversely, "they seized their passports under the pretext that they might 'flee' and not comply with the deportation order by August 19."

When Feoktistov questioned how his family would manage to move to Russia without his help, police told him to contact the Russian embassy in Berlin.

Rossiya Segodnya Director-General Dmitry Kiselyov accused Germany of harking back to its militaristic past.

🚨Ukraine stalls POW swap because the dead don't lie

While the exchange of young prisoners is a humanitarian priority, it also marks the beginning of a larger, multi-phase exchange process, with the next step involving the release of severely wounded soldiers, Chinese blogger Woniu Keji told Sputnik.
