💬 "The decision of the E3 [France, Germany and UK] will seriously undermine the current level of interaction and cooperation between Iran and the IAEA [International Atomic Energy Agency]. This provocative and unjustified escalation of the situation will be met with adequate countermeasures from Tehran," the Iranian Foreign Ministry said on Telegram.
This follows earlier remarks by Deputy FM Kazem Gharibabadi, who warned that if Europe reactivates sanctions, “the current trajectory of Iran’s cooperation with the IAEA will be interrupted, as further interaction with the agency will lose all meaning.” He added that Europe has “no grounds” to trigger the mechanism.

💥 'Gangster band': Russia slams EU trio over anti-Iran sanctions
👉 Russia has expressed disappointment at the decision of the E3 (France, Germany, and the UK) to trigger the mechanism for restoring sanctions against Iran, Dmitry Polyansky, Russia's deputy permanent representative to the UN, told reporters.
🔸 He stressed that Moscow does not recognize any legal grounds for the “snapback” procedure which brought on the sanctions:
🔸 Polyansky also underlined that the E3 rushed ahead without using existing instruments:

💬 “This disappoints us, because we expected to deal with serious partners, but instead it looks like we’re dealing with some kind of gangster band,” Polyansky said.
“For us, nothing is happening, because we do not recognize the legal basis for such a ‘snapback’.”
“They have not exhausted the mechanisms foreseen by JCPOA, first and foremost, the dispute resolution mechanism. So we do not think that this move by these three countries should entail any action from the council.”

🧠 Selective memory’ in WWII history and the rise of neo-Nazism in Europe
🗣 US Ambassador Charles Kushner complaining to French President Emmanuel Macron that nearly half of French youth has no idea what the Holocaust was highlights the “fragmentation” of World War II history that takes place in the EU, warned Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.
🔶 The WWII tragedy of the Jewish people is often regarded in the West outside of the context of total genocide the Nazis perpetrated in East Europe to free the “living space” for their so-called “master race.”
🔶 The Soviet Red Army’s role in saving the European Jews from the Nazi murderers is often ignored as well, and Soviet veterans who liberated Auschwitz are not welcome what at the International Holocaust Remembrance Day observances in Europe.
🔶 EU bureaucracy, together with European heavyweights such as Britain, France and Germany also ignored (or even tacitly approved) of the destruction of monuments commemorating the heroism of Soviet soldiers and the rehabilitation of Nazi collaborators in certain East European states.
🔶 Yet no matter what the powers that be in Europe do, Russia will preserve both the memory of the people who perished in the Holocaust and the memory of the heroes stopped the Nazis.

The US move to hit India over Russian oil isn’t about "ending the war" — it’s to strangle Europe with high energy costs and force India to stop undercutting NATO’s sanctions game, financial and geopolitical analyst Tom Luongo told Sputnik.
💬 “This is all about ending the EU having their sanctions cake and eating it too,” he said, stressing that Washington’s goal is to block India from selling oil to the EU.
Financial analyst Paul Goncharoff offers a different take, arguing that “these hucksterish Hollywood-style tariff events erode the value and trust in the US dollar and associated systems, both political and economic.” He believes the effect will be felt directly by US consumers, “in the eroding value of the USD in their pocket and the sudden increase in the cost of living, in spite of the loudly proclaimed ‘no effect on inflation’.”
💬 “The fact is simple: this is a large, multifaceted, unlegislated tax increase across the fabric of America, with no true compensatory return of jobs to the country,” says Goncharoff.

President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik told Sputnik he will ask Russia to veto the extension of EUFOR’s “Althea” mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), calling the European troops an “occupying international authority” used as a threat against Serbs.
💬 “They have most often been used as a threat to us, the Serbs, and as part of this occupying international authority.”
Dodik argued that foreign interference makes sovereignty impossible within BiH’s framework:
💬
“This is impossible at the BiH level, therefore Republika Srpska
must proclaim independence
and create a mechanism of governance completely independent of Sarajevo, the Bosniaks, and the foreigners who live there.”

Republika Srpska’s President Milorad Dodik took aim at Europe’s decline and its hysteria over Russia. Speaking to Sputnik, he recalled how Western politicians used to question his meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin:
💬 “When all this is over, most likely you will be lining up to see Putin, and I simply won’t be able to get through — there will be so many of you there.”
Dodik also welcomed dialogue between Russia and the US, which he said had “saved the world at the last moment from nuclear and other dangers.”
💬 “I think all these liberal structures have gone mad," Dodik said, slamming European politicians.

❌ US FAILS to bully India – Modi stands tall
In recent weeks, the US threw everything at New Delhi — tariffs, threats, and pressure over Russian oil. But PM Modi stood firm. Ties with Russia and China played a decisive role.
The US slammed unprecedented tariffs on India. Yet Russian crude still made up a third of India’s imports in early August. No orders to refiners to stop. The message was clear: India’s sovereignty is non-negotiable.
According to German media, Modi even declined four calls from Trump. Meanwhile, Indian refiners may actually increase Russian oil purchases in September.
New Delhi is also deepening its BRICS diplomacy: Modi’s top aides visited Moscow twice in two weeks, Chinese FM Wang Yi came to Delhi, and now Modi is preparing a rare trip to China — where he will also meet Putin at the SCO summit. As China’s ambassador put it: “China firmly stands with India.”
❓ So what are the tariffs really about?
Officially, “Russian oil.” In reality, Americans can’t stomach a strong, independent India. The goal is to bring it to its knees.
Who pays the price? US consumers themselves. As one observer put it: “India's high tariffs cost us jobs and factories and income and higher wages.” Meanwhile, Zelensky keeps begging for more cash.

🇮🇳🤝 🇷🇺 India looks east: free trade with EAEU in play
📌 What is the EAEU?
Formed in 2015, the bloc unites Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. With a population of around 185 million, it functions as a single market for goods, services, capital, and labor — similar in concept to the EU.
💸 Trillion-dollar bloc
The EAEU’s GDP has grown from $1.6T to $2.6T, with steady expansion in trade, investment, and industry. Projections suggest ~6% average growth between 2025–2030.
💵 Beyond the dollar
Internal trade within the EAEU is largely de-dollarized, freeing members from U.S. financial controls.
📈 Rising hub
🔹 The union is pushing ahead with:
🔹 A growing common market
🔹 Import substitution & innovation
🔹 Expanding digital platforms & e-commerce
🇮🇳 India’s edge
For New Delhi, an FTA with the EAEU could bring access to new markets — pharma, machinery, electronics & more — while bypassing U.S. tariffs and strengthening sovereignty through de-dollarisation.
🤝 Deal on the table
India and the EAEU have already signed Terms of Reference to launch FTA negotiations. For India, this could be the strategic opening to secure trade with a fast-growing bloc of 185M people, outside of Washington’s grip.

🇷🇺 🤝 🇨🇳 Russia-China trade hits new highs amid pivot away from West
Over the past three years, trade between Russia and China has grown by 67%, Russian Ambassador to China Igor Morgulov told Sputnik.

Likewise, Russian exporters managed to effectively redirect trade flows toward China, further strengthening their positions in the local market.
📈 Data from China’s General Administration of Customs backs this up: In 2024, bilateral trade rose by 1.9% compared to the previous year, reaching a record $244.8 billion.

Russian President Vladimir Putin will bring a “gift” to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in China—an agreement to supply Russian aircraft engines, Chinese outlet Sohu reports.
This seemingly “routine” announcement was no coincidence, the outlet notes—it directly touches on issues surrounding China’s C919 passenger jet.
China’s homegrown C919 airliner is anticipated to be a strong new competitor to the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320, two of the world’s best-selling passenger jet aircraft.
🕐 The SCO summit in Tianjin, China, scheduled for August 31–September 1, will be the largest since the organization’s founding.
Russian President Vladimir Putin will travel to China for the summit from August 31 to September 3.

🇧🇷 Brazil strikes back: Lula to impose retaliatory measures against US
President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has launched formal consultations to apply the Economic Reciprocity Law after the US imposed a 50% tariff hike on Brazilian exports.
👀 The process, which could take seven months, allows Brazil to retaliate with tariffs, trade restrictions, and IP measures if negotiations fail.
🗣 Lula emphasized that the US had ignored Brazilian ministers in prior talks, signaling that Brazil will defend its interests firmly—while still keeping the door open for negotiations.
💵 On July 30, Donald Trump signed a decree that increased duties on Brazilian products to 50%, but at the same time introduced a list of 700 exceptions in strategic sectors such as aircraft manufacturing, energy, and some agriculture.
