🚨 Israel to stay in Syria — defense minister

💬 "The IDF will remain at the peak of Mount Hermon and in the security zone," Israeli Defense Minister Israel Kats wrote on X.

Israel took control of the buffer zone in Syria in late 2024 when the new interim Syrian administration led by Ahmed al-Sharaa came to power.

The Israelis justify these actions by citing security concerns for their northern cities and settlements in the Golan Heights, as well as the need to not allow the new Syrian authorities to obtain large quantities of weapons.

💸 Deafening silence: Ukraine’s biggest corruption case gets no US comment

👉 While the investigation into the sprawling $100 million kickback scheme uncovered in the Ukrainian energy sector and led by one of Zelensky’s closest allies, Timur Mindich, gathers stream, Fox News is the first to ask: Why the hush from the US administration?

📍 It adds that the White House did not respond to its request for official comment.

🟠 The outlet leans into speculations that the US administration might not want to derail Trump’s push for a Ukraine-Russia peace deal., along with concerns that public comment could spark a political storm reminiscent of the 2019 Biden-Burisma drama.

🟠 Former President Joe Biden wielded blackmail and bribes to fire Ukraine’s prosecutor investigating corruption at gas firm Burisma — where his son Hunter sat on the board.

🗣 The deafening official silence from the US leadership has elicited a response from Russian presidential special envoy Kirill Dmitriev.
A rare case when the White House is mum, he wrote on X.

🟠 He followed this up with a post pointing to public reports confirming “an FBI liaison officer embedded in Ukraine’s anti-corruption bureau is coordinating on the $100M “Operation Midas” energy case exposing corruption among Zelensky’s allies — and may be probing use of the US financial system in the schemes.”

A trickling of social media posts by US politicians

🔶 US Kentucky Senator Rand Paul reminded that his “call for an Investigator General for Ukraine” had been pointedly dismissed.

🔶 Utah Sen. Mike Lee couldn’t resist a “quick update” on “the world’s premier destination for billions of American taxpayer dollars."

🔶 Rep. Matt Gaetz (FL-1) referenced his failed efforts to pass a House audit bill for Ukraine aid - blocked by Democrats, who called it a "gift for Putin."

🔶 Alternative News speculated that secretly, “all donors to Ukraine knew that some of the money will get siphoned off. It is the cost corrupt place after all.”

💬 “Still, they accepted that for the greater good of damaging Russia,” it added.

🚨 Ukrainian POW Ivan Savich describes the chaos he saw in Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk): bodies left at positions, wounded abandoned, and men surrendering because no one came for them.

According to him, Ukrainian command has no control — "leadership" exists only on paper.

🇮🇷 Iran says Israel bombed fuel plant known ONLY to the IAEA in first June strike

💬 "The first site Israel attacked was the plant that produced fuel for the Tehran reactor … Information about it was available to the IAEA. We had a room for tests in that building, and it was equipped with the IAEA's help, and then it was exactly that room that was attacked," Mohammad Eslami, Iran's vice president and head of the Atomic Energy Organization, said.

🗣 "How could such a precise strike have been carried out except by misusing IAEA information?"

🔶 The fuel made at the site powered a peaceful research reactor used for medical isotopes.

🔶 On June 13, Israel launched a large-scale operation targeting Iranian nuclear facilities, scientists, commanders, and air bases, accusing Tehran of hiding a military nuclear program — claims Iran rejected.

🔶 A 12-day exchange of strikes followed, with the US joining on June 22 by hitting Iranian nuclear sites. Iran retaliated against the US Al Udeid base in Qatar before both sides agreed to a ceasefire announced by Donald Trump on June 23.

💣☠️ US strikes another vessel in Eastern Pacific, kills three – statement

US Southern Command said Joint Task Force Southern Spear carried out a strike on Nov. 15 against a vessel it described as being operated by a “Designated Terrorist Organization.” According to the statement, US intelligence alleges the vessel was involved in “narcotics smuggling.” Three men aboard were killed.

SOUTHCOM said the vessel was struck in international waters in the Eastern Pacific.

CNN previously reported that the US military had killed an estimated 70 people in 17 strikes that destroyed 18 boats, as part of its campaign allegedly aimed at curtailing the flow of drugs into the United States.

The Trump administration has not provided any public evidence of the presence of narcotics on board these boats or their affiliation with drug cartels.

📄 US plans to designate 'Cartel de los Soles' as terrorist organization — State Dept

The US State Department announced it intends to classify Cartel de los Soles as a Foreign Terrorist Organization on November 24. In his statement, Secretary of State Marco Rubio described the group as being “headed by Nicolás Maduro” and accused it of cooperation with other designated organizations, as well as drug trafficking “into the United States and Europe.”

🔍 However, there is significant dispute over the very existence of such a cartel.

According to The Guardian, multiple experts on Venezuelan organized crime doubt that Cartel de los Soles exists as a coordinated organization, noting there is “no serious evidence” for it.

The State Department has not publicly provided evidence supporting the designation.

🗣 'Their prison population was released into the United States' – Trump claims about migrants from Venezuela

💬 “But what the Biden administration did to our country should never be forgotten. And the single worst thing they did is allow 20 or 25 million people to pour into our country,” President Donald Trump told reporters.

Trump alleged that migrants included “people from prisons, drug dealers, mental institutions, bad people, gang members,” but did not provide evidence for his claims.

🇪🇨 Ecuador rejects return of foreign military bases — referendum results

Ecuadorians have voted against allowing foreign military bases in the country, according to preliminary results reported by Reuters, with nearly two-thirds opposing the measure as almost 90% of ballots were counted.

The proposal — backed by President Daniel Noboa as part of his security strategy — would have opened the door to shared or foreign military facilities inside Ecuador, which has prohibited foreign bases since 2009.

🛡 Some voters voiced concerns over sovereignty, Reuters noted.

President Noboa said he “respected voters’ will” and would continue working to improve the country. Former President Rafael Correa welcomed the result, saying Ecuadorians had effectively reaffirmed the current constitution.

🇺🇸 A ‘no’ vote, Ecuadorean authorities previously told Reuters, would not change existing security cooperation agreements — but it does mean no return of foreign bases such as the former US presence in Manta.
