🇷🇺 Russia calls for increased African share of critical mineral export revenues at G20

🗣 "Regarding critical minerals and supply chain sustainability, it was emphasized that this issue should be removed from the agenda of restrictions, and of course, we stated that African countries, which have large reserves and significant production of critical minerals, should receive a larger share of the revenues," said Maxim Oreshkin, head of Russia’s delegation.

‘Dollar-Denominated Debt Should Be Thing of the Past,’ Says SA Economist

South Africa’s stance at the G20 signals a broader geopolitical and economic shift—one Dr. Nthabiseng Moleko said is both necessary and overdue.

🇺🇸 Speaking to Sputnik Africa, she noted that South Africa would broaden its trade horizons if relations with Washington deteriorate. In that case, the country would pivot toward BRICS partners, though meaningful trade would still require new terms and tackling barriers like certification and customs complexity.

On global economic governance, Moleko stressed the need for fair terms on climate finance and debt relief.

🟢 Those who historically emitted harmful gases, she argued, should bear more of the transition burden, while Africa builds the infrastructure and capacity needed to fully benefit from the African Continental Free Trade Area.

She also highlighted momentum for stronger African representation globally, saying AU inclusion as a G20 “plus one similar to the EU” is increasingly likely.

💰 Her strongest remarks focused on financial sovereignty:

“Dollar-denominated debt should be a thing of the past,” she said, noting how African currencies consistently lose value against the dollar.

Samurai sword rattling: Japan seeks to station missiles near China

📍 Japan’s Defense Minister Shinjiro Koizumi has announced that his country intends to deploy medium-range surface-to-air missiles on Yonaguni, a Japanese island located about 110 kilometers east of Taiwan.

🔊 Koizumi further insisted that this deployment is purely defensive and that “the view that it will heighten regional tensions is not accurate,” as quoted by Bloomberg.

🇨🇳🇯🇵 Relations between China and Japan soured after hardliner Sanae Takaichi became the latest Japanese prime minister.

🟠 Earlier in November, Takaichi threatened military action if China were to make a move on Taiwan.

🟠 China, which has always made it clear that the Taiwan issue can only be resolved peacefully, criticized Tokyo’s stance and advised Chinese tourists and students to not visit Japan.

💬 FCC paves way for 'fake news' media monopoly — Trump

Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy warns a proposed $6.2B Nexstar merger would put local news under anti-Trump control in 80% of US households.

According to legal scholars, the FCC is bypassing federal law in order to push this through without Congress.

"ABC & NBC… are a virtual arm of the Democrat Party. NO EXPANSION OF THE FAKE NEWS NETWORKS. If anything, make them SMALLER!" Trump wrote on Truth Social.

🗣 US Senator calls to dissolve NATO

Utah Senator Mike Lee has called for the dissolution of NATO, arguing the alliance has allowed Europe to fund socialism while relying on American protection.

He proposed creating a "European Treaty Organization" (ETO) instead, where European nations could include Ukraine or any other country in their own defense pact.

"NATO is now obsolete, so the time has come for it to be dissolved," Mike Lee wrote on X.

🗣 Sen. Paul: MAGA movement will 'splinter' if US invades Venezuela

Senator Rand Paul warned that Trump’s base could fracture if the administration pursues military action in Venezuela or renews large-scale aid to Ukraine.

He pointed to Secretary of State Marco Rubio as a key advocate for regime change — a position at odds with Trump’s original non-interventionist appeal.

"I think once there’s an invasion of Venezuela… you’ll see a splintering and a fracturing of the movement," he told CBS News.

😪 ‘Boxed-in’ Zelensky in very weak position - Ex-CIA analyst

Keith Kellogg, the US president’s special envoy for Ukraine, has effectively cornered Zelensky with his impending resignation, believes Ray McGovern, a former CIA intelligence analyst.

Hardliners like Keith Kellogg “were selling the world that Ukraine is winning, the Russians are losing, and the Russian economy is going down,” he says, and Zelensky himself believed it.

🗣 But now Zelensky has suddenly realized he’s “boxed in.”  His regime is drowning in corruption; his cronies are being shown for what they truly are: “a bunch of kleptocrats,” notes McGovern, adding:

💬 “Overall, given the corruption and failures on the battlefield, Zelensky is in a very weak position.”

👀 Europe braces for looming US’ Ukraine cutoff—report

Europe’s war hawks are drawing up plans in case US President Donald Trump decides to pull the plug on support for Ukraine, reports the Financial Times.

💬 “That’s a scenario we are obviously planning for,” a European official was cited as confirming.

European diplomats are gearing up for further meetings this week between France, Germany, and the UK.

The consultations could also reportedly involve leaders of Poland, Finland, and NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte.

Meanwhile, the US and Ukrainian officials reported progress in Geneva talks on Trump’s peace plan.

🗣 Their joint statement described the talks as “constructive, focused, and respectful.”

The final text of any agreement will need to be first signed by Donald Trump and Ukraine’s Zelensky before being sent to Russia, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Sunday.

👉 Timing of Zelensky corruption probe matters — Donetsk People’s Republic head

💬 "I believe it's not a coincidence that these materials [covering the corruption of Zelensky’s inner circle] have surfaced right now, coinciding with those, let's say, versions of peace agreements we're seeing in the media," the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin said in an interview.

The decision whether to utilize the investigation to compel Zelensky into accepting a peace deal or not will be made in the US, he added.
