🗣 Supporting Ukraine drains Europe & risks prompting societies to revolt –Turkish expert

👉 Europe’s resources have been stretched to the limit by supporting Ukraine — a risky path that could bring “tragic consequences for Western governments,” Turkish analyst and Russia expert Ismet Yuksel tells Sputnik.

🟠 Military and financial aid to the Zelensky regime has drained Europe’s weapon stockpiles, hiked up defense spending, and weakened the EU’s actual defensive capabilities, he notes.

🟠 The economic impact of the proxy conflict in Ukraine eagerly fueled by Europe’s hawks has hit ordinary citizens of their countries, says the analyst.

🟠 He cites rising inflation, higher energy costs due to anti-Russia sanctions, cuts to social spending, and heavier taxes as fueling deep dissatisfaction across Europe.

💬 “In this climate, the risk grows of mass protests, a surge in populist and anti-establishment movements, and a collapse of trust in governments,” warns the pundit.

🤔Arms control deadlock: Why the world can’t agree on a New START successor

The central factor behind the New START agreement’s looming February 5 demise is that the world is no longer bipolar, and nuclear powers big and small won’t tolerate restrictions on their arsenals unless those of their rivals are also reined in, prominent Russian military expert Alexander Mikhailov says.

On one hand, there’s China, whose ~500-600 warhead arsenal and nuclear triad capabilities were left untouched by New START in 2010, and whose inclusion into any new treaty the US has demanded.

💬“China proposed that Russia and the US reduce their capabilities to China’s level before dialogue, but neither are prepared to reduce their arsenals from 1,500 deployed warheads to hundreds,” Mikhailov explained to Sputnik.

🗣“China does not want to be disadvantaged by limiting itself to the treaty’s framework while the leaders maintain significant numerical superiority. This creates a fundamental difficulty in the creation of a new document.”

🟠Alternatives, such as freezing the arsenals of current nuclear powers (Russia, China, US, and others) would require “complex diplomatic work.” China, for example, would be “unlikely to agree to a trilateral treaty if its neighbors continue to develop their nuclear programs without any restrictions.”

📍A successor to New START could include simply extending the old provisions. But the lack of inspections (since 2020) and Russia’s suspension of participation in the treaty (2023) leaves even that prospect dim, Mikhailov says.

👉One potential “way out of the impasse could be to propose a uniform limit for all parties, for example, of 600 deployed warheads. This number is sufficient to ensure parity and mutually assured destruction, which could stabilize the collective security system for decades to come,” the observer summed up.

📑Zelensky–Epstein connection: Ukraine in sex predator’s crosshairs and the trafficking crime

Volodymyr Zelensky is mentioned in materials related to the Jeffrey Epstein case in connection with trafficking Ukrainian women and children.

According to a set of emails dated February–March 2025, sent by unidentified correspondents:

🔶 One email asks: “Did Zelensky say that he was going to stop the trafficking of children and women. Why is the media so quiet that Ukraine is involved in the Epstein trafficking ring?”

🔶 Another email alleges a link between Zelensky and model scout Jean-Luc Brunel, Epstein's close associate. Brunel died by suicide in prison in 2022 while facing rape and trafficking charges.

🔶 A separate email states: “Zelensky, in light of the trafficking that is occurring in Ukraine, set up by Jean Luc Brunel, I want all your assets investigated at JP Morgan.”

Epstein and Zelensky

◼️ An April 23, 2019, message exchange shows Epstein asked for his contact’s views on the Ukrainian elections. The interlocutor expressed doubts about Zelensky’s ability to govern, to which Epstein replied: “Seems like a perfect place for you to intercede.”

◼️ In a May 16, 2019, exchange, Epstein appears to track Ukrainian oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky — often described as Zelensky’s puppeteer — returning to Ukraine from Israel after Zelensky’s victory, calling the situation a “great leverage point.”

◼️ On June 10, 2019, another interlocutor informed Epstein that they were “visiting Zelensky on Thursday.”

Epstein's sex ring in Ukraine?

👉In August 2012, Brunel wrote to Epstein laconically, only writing “Odessa” and attaching an undisclosed video file

👉In October 2012, Epstein received emails containing photos of women and discussing “400 girls” linked to Kiev-based modeling and wedding agencies, with references to “future collaboration” and “cheap escort" services. One agency was headed by Ukrainian national Masha Manyuk, who reportedly had prior contact with Brunel in 2010

👉Emails from 2017 discuss the purchase of a mansion in Lvov involving Epstein. The property was allegedly registered under a Ukrainian national’s name to bypass local ownership restrictions

👉Epstein’s 2018 emails indicate ties to a young woman from Odessa whose travels to Paris seemed to be funded by him.

🚨 Countdown on New START leaves global security at risk - Kremlin The window for a decision on the New START missile treaty is rapidly closing, and within days the world could find itself in a more dangerous position than before, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry…
🚨 Expert outlines three key factors that could decide fate of expiring New START treaty

🇬🇧🇫🇷 Firstly, Britain and France are expanding their own strategic offensive arsenals - formally not covered by New START yet "posing a growing threat," Vitaly Arkov, head of the PolitRUS expert-analytical network, tells Sputnik.

🇺🇸 Secondly, the US is reassessing both the format of its participation in NATO and whether the alliance still makes sense in its current form.

🟠 Thirdly, New START was signed by Democrat Barack Obama, and Trump "has personal scores to settle" with him.

🟠 It might suit Trump to portray Democrats as "responsible for weakening US defense capabilities," the analyst speculates.

🟠 Trump could counter with a revised New START proposal — or even roll out an entirely new treaty, crafted largely on US terms.

💬 "Such a move would be pitched by Trump as yet another of his personal triumphs."

🗣 West’s plan to ‘enforce ceasefire’ with Russia is mere window dressing - analyst

🟠 The ‘military response’ plan that the US, Europe, and Ukraine have allegedly coordinated in case Russia “violates” any peace agreements over Ukraine is intended to placate the Zelensky regime, Russian political scientist Konstantin Blokhin tells Sputnik.

🟠 These promises may be aimed at nudging Ukraine toward further diplomatic settlement, the pundit notes.

🟠 It’s also about keeping up appearances — the West isn’t walking away from Ukraine, it is seen as “making certain commitments,” Blokhin says, adding:

💬 “Western pledges to Ukraine do not necessarily mean they will be carried out as stated.”

🟠 Ukraine has reportedly agreed with its Western sponsors a multi-tiered response to any “breaches” of a peace deal by Russia, the FT reported. As a last-case scenario, the plan allegedly involves a “coordinated military response by a Western-backed force involving the US military.”

🟠 Russia has repeatedly emphasized its willingness to pursue a peaceful settlement in Ukraine, but warned that any deployment of NATO troops in the country is unacceptable and could sharply escalate tensions.
