Southern Gaza witnessed a surge of resistance activity this week, as Al-Qassam Brigades and Saraya al-Quds launched deadly ambushes, demolitions, and drone interceptions across Rafah, Khan Yunis, and Gaza City.
Rafah City – Al-Qassam Brigades
Al-Janina (Al-Zahraa Mosque) — May 4–7
➡️ Tunnel shaft explosion
➡️ Pre-rigged house detonation
➡️ Use of anti-personnel bombs and Al-Yassin 105 anti-tank missiles
Result: Israeli vehicles destroyed and multiple infantry casualties
Al-Mashrou’ Junction (East Rafah) — May 7
➡️ TBG missile strike on a fortified Israeli squad inside a house
➡️ 10 soldiers and 2 dogs lured into an explosive trap
Result: Heavy casualties and helicopter evacuation observed
Tel Al-Sultan (Al-Tayaran Street) — April 27 (Reported May 1)
➡️ 4 Humvees and 1 military truck ambushed with Shawaz and Fedayeen IEDs
Followed by close-quarters combat
