If anyone ever tells you that bootloader unlocking is made difficult due to fake stock ROMs, remind them that they literally only exist because Chinese devices can't run global on locked bootloader. Resellers would gladly preload official ROMs with zero changes if they only could. They don't want to ship devices in bootloader unlocked state and/or unable to ever update.

And yet, in five years, many (or most?) of these units will be buried somewhere in a drawer, while fresh factory midrange will be far from keeping up with this camera setup.
