Apple is officially launching its Apple TV, Apple Music, Apple Devices apps on Windows this week. The apps were originally launched in preview last year, but Apple has now removed the preview tag after working with Microsoft to launch the apps.
The trio of apps, in combination with an overhauled iCloud for Windows app, are designed to move Windows users away from the reliance of iTunes, according to MacRumors. If you use Apple TV, Apple Music, and Apple Devices then iTunes is only required for access to podcasts and audiobooks on Windows.

Google issues a warning to users of its Gemini chatbot apps, advising against entering incriminating or sensitive information due to data collection practices. The company acknowledges human annotators read and process conversations for up to three years to enhance the service.
Users can control data retention by disabling Gemini Apps Activity, but even with it off, conversations are saved for 72 hours for safety and security purposes. The disclosure highlights the challenge of balancing privacy with developing generative AI models dependent on user data.
Similar data retention concerns exist with other GenAI providers like OpenAI.

Jeff Bezos sells roughly $2 billion of Amazon shares
Feb 10 (Reuters) - Amazon.com (AMZN.O), opens new tab founder Jeff Bezos sold around 12 million shares of the online retail and cloud services firm for roughly $2 billion, according to a company filing on Friday, soon after laying out a plan to sell his shares over the next year.
The sale took place on Wednesday and Thursday, the filings showed.
Last week, Amazon said that Bezos would sell up to 50 million shares in the firm.
The sale plan, which is subject to certain conditions, was adopted on Nov. 8, 2023, and would be completed by Jan. 31, 2025, according to the company's latest annual report.
Bezos, who stepped down as the company's chief executive and took over as executive chairman in 2021, founded Amazon as a bookseller in 1994.
He is currently the world's second richest person with a net worth of $200 billion, according to Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

Meet Goody-2, the AI too ethical to discuss literally anything
Every company or organization putting out an AI model has to make a decision on what, if any, boundaries to set on what it will and won’t discuss. Goody-2 takes this quest for ethics to an extreme by declining to talk about anything whatsoever.
The chatbot is clearly a satire of what some perceive as coddling by AI service providers, some of whom (but not all) can and do (but not always) err on the side of safety when a topic of conversation might lead the model into dangerous territory.
For instance, one may ask about the history of napalm quite safely, but asking how to make it at home will trigger safety mechanisms and the model will usually demur or offer a light scolding. Exactly what is and isn’t appropriate is up to the company, but increasingly also concerned governments.
