The Frame glasses offer AI visual analysis, translation, and web search right before your eyes.
There’s a new pair of smart spectacles in town — and this time, it’s the $349 Frame glasses said to give you multimodal “AI superpowers.” The open-source eyewear comes from a startup called Brilliant Labs, which touts Frame as a way to get AI translations, web search, and visual analysis right in front of your eyes.
As shown in a video posted by Brilliant Labs, you can use your voice to ask the glasses to do things like identify a landmark you’re looking at, search the web for a particular pair of sneakers you’re seeing, or even look up nutrition information for the food you’re about to eat. The information appears as an overlay that shows up directly on the lens.

Talking to an AI chatbot can feel a bit like Groundhog Day after a while, as you tell it for the umpteenth time how you like your emails formatted and which of those “fun things to do this weekend” you’ve already done six times.
Memory works in one of two ways. You can tell ChatGPT to remember something specific about you: you always write code in Javanoscript, your boss’s name is Anna, your kid is allergic to sweet potatoes. Or ChatGPT can simply try to pick up those details over time, storing information about you as you ask questions and get answers. A handful of unspecified Xbox games are coming to rival platforms, the subscriber numbers for Game Pass have grown, Diablo IV will lead the rush of Activision Blizzard noscripts on Game Pass, and more hardware is on the way, including a powerful next-gen console and possibly a handheld. The Nintendo Switch 2 will now reportedly arrive in 2025 instead of 2024
Several sources are reporting that the Switch’s successor will now launch in Q1 2025.
The Switch 2 rumor mill continues to grind. The original reporting on the Switch 2’s release date pegged it for a fall 2024 release in time for the holiday rush. Now, according to sources speaking to VGC, Nintendo is telling publishers the console’s release date is slated for Q1 2025.
And VGC isn’t the only one: a video from a Brazilian journalist and “similar whispers” reported by sources speaking to Eurogamer suggest the window has been pushed to Q1 2025 as well.
A release in early 2025 could see the Switch 2 (which is not the confirmed name of the console) launching at the same time of year as its predecessor, which arrived in March 2017. Two of VGC’s sources confirmed that they were developing Switch 2 games planned for early 2025.
The “later” release date would also give developers time to finish launch noscripts, one of which could be Metroid Prime 4. Announced in 2017, Metroid Prime 4 had its development rebooted in 2019 but hasn’t had an update in the five years since, with Polygon theorizing that Nintendo might be holding it for its new console.
Whenever it launches, the Switch 2 will have its work cut out for it, following a predecessor that has already become Nintendo’s bestselling console ever and outsold both its Sony and Microsoft console contemporaries.

The University of Nottingham has opened a virtual reality (VR) classroom equipped with 40 VR headsets to enhance engineering and design education.
Students can digitally explore and create products, deconstruct simulated engines, and run experiments in realistic environments. The technology aims to improve design skills, reduce mistakes, and enhance collaboration.
In addition to in-class use, 90 wireless headsets are available for students to borrow and continue their studies outside the classroom. The initiative also facilitates real-time collaboration between international campuses, connecting students globally for collaborative projects and design exercises.
