Surprise, surprise! The Rabbit R1 runs Android under-the-hood, and its entire interface is powered by an Android app.
I managed to get that app up and running on a Pixel 6a.
More details are available in this article I wrote.

A follow-up to my "Rabbit R1 is an Android app in a box" article:
In their attempted rebuttal, Rabbit made several misrepresentations of my findings - as well as of their own product.
I address their claims in my latest article for Android Authority.

No, you don't need a 'very bespoke AOSP' to turn your phone into a Rabbit R1 — here's proof
Rabbit recently said their AI service can only be accessed on the R1 with its “very bespoke AOSP” firmware, but that isn’t true.
POCO F6 receives the FCC certification.

😳 Xiaomi HyperOS may no longer use Android.
The number of devices using Xiaomi HyperOS is growing very quickly and has already exceeded 10 million.
There are rumors that Xiaomi, which wants to use its own OS, will stop using Android?
📱 Xiaomi's latest flagship phone, Xiaomi 14 Ultra, has the innoscription "Powered by Xiaomi HyperOS" on the box, usually the icon would say "Powered by Android".
👽 But now Xiaomi HyperOS runs on Android. When Xiaomi HyperOS turns on, “Powered by Android” is displayed at the bottom of the screen. However, this situation still makes one wonder if there might be a device that uses both Android and its own OS, like Huawei's.
🔥 Even if Xiaomi leaves Android and switches to its own operating system, Xiaomi smartphones will not lose popularity among users. A striking example is Apple, which does not work on Android, but together with Xiaomi is one of the three best-selling brands.
