Geoffrey Hinton, one of the pioneers of modern Al, was awarded the Nobel Prize in 2024 for his work on neural networks. He's often called the Godfather of Al for co-developing the backpropagation algorithm in the 1980s, which laid the foundation for today's deep learning systems. Until 2023, he worked at Google, where he helped lead Al research. He left the company so he could speak freely about the risks he believes Al now poses
In his Nobel Prize speech, Hinton warned that Al is no longer just a tool for progress. He said it's already causing harm by creating echo chambers online, enabling governments to conduct mass surveillance, and helping criminals run phishing scams on a global scale.
went further, saying Al might soon be used to create new viruses or autonomous weapons that choose their own targets. But the most serious concern, according to Hinton, is that we are on track to build digital beings more intelligent than humans.

Galaxy AI has proven its greatness again
A video has appeared online showing a comparison of AI performance when processing photos. The comparison includes:
Xiaomi 15 on HyperOS 3.0
Vivo X200 Ultra on OrignOS 5.0
Honor Magic V5 on MagicOS 9.0
OPPO Find X8 Ultra on ColorOS 15.0
Huawei Pura 70 Ultra on HarmonyOS 4.2
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge on OneUI 7.0
It is clear that all smartphones, except for the Pura 70 Ultra, cope with removing a person from the frame with approximately the same result, but only the S25 Edge "read" the photo, found the child's reflection on the glass and wiped it.
