In this work, we have summarized several cognitive processes,which in our opinion are closely related to user experience,namely consciousness, memory, perception, decision-making,physiological arousal of the organism, attention, and emotionali-ty. In further theoretical research, we would certainly focus onother cognitive processes, such as learning, the ability to planand anticipate events, motor coordination, and problem solving.We believe these cognitive processes are also important in theuser's interaction with space. Learning is largely related to ourmemory, including spatial memory, meaning that we can as-sume that user experience can also be influenced by how easyor difficult it is to remember a particular space. Alternatively, itcan be affected by the way how the user may feel in similarpremises (for example, the stores in the LIDL retail chain are arranged almost all the same). Planning and anticipating eventsis also an important cognitive factor, for example when design-ing spaces to serve users' quick actions, such as moving in theunderground. Motor coordination can be a significant factor forpeople with various health (physical) disabilities, such as peo-ple using a wheelchair.We realize that there are other psychological concepts, such asa typology of personality that could be measured in terms ofuser experience; still, we believe that cognitive processes andemotionality are more crucial in this concept. When conceptual-izing research design, we stemmed from the assumption of anincreased development/developers’ activity and its impact onthe environment, as well as the mental world of users. At thesame time, we are working with the fact that neuroscience(s) and artificial intelligence are among the most developing fields of today.
