This is AutoHotkey

is a free and open-source custom noscripting language for Microsoft Windows, primarily designed to provide easy keyboard shortcuts or hotkeys, fast macro-creation and software automation to allow users of most computer skill levels to automate repetitive tasks in any Windows application.

it has .ahk noscript files that have their own syntax, runs pinned in the taskbar and you can do some cool things with it.

For my specific use case, I wanted it to open google on my default browser (unfortunately zen for now) and open figma. I will program another hot key noscript for the "suggest autolayout" shortcut on figma, will see how that deals after we complete that.

This was the syntax i generated, you can replace desired app destination where I put figma location
the Run command with google.com opens google.com on my default browser
the MsgBox line is there to test if the shortcut was working by showing a pop up window with a message that says F9 was pressed!

There is one problem though, function keys are hardware mapped and we can't access F9 when function lock is on, and I need fn lock to be on as I really do use the media and brightness controls alot. We need to use Fn+F9, which defeats the purpose in my opinion

Rive is really powerful even without the runtime. I find myself absorbed into it every time its discussed
It’s for after effects what figma is for illustrator

Favorite feature on zen so far: ability to double click on tab bar to create a new tab, ctrl+t is still there but this option is nice to have for one handed operations.
