Everything is vibration.

There are frequencies that harm and those that heal.

Most of the music we listen to is set to a frequency that’s disruptive to the human body. In 1975 they changed the standard tuning for music worldwide to 440 hz, which is out of harmony with our human vibration. It’s agitating to us, whether we consciously realize it or not.

We are inundated by harmful frequencies to the point where we no longer notice their harm and just accept the terrible way we feel as “normal.”

When you remove the negative frequencies and introduce more of the healing ones, you will once again be able to feel the signals coming from your mind, body and spirit telling you what things you need more of and what you need less of. It is innate.

Take a few seconds to listen to this and pick up the signals your body and mind are sending you.

Can you feel it?

The above goes for everything, not just music. Food has its own unique vibration (harmful or healing) as do the people we spend time with. Same with the clothes we put on our body and the objects we fill our homes with. Thoughts and emotions have a frequency. Not just our own, we are also affected by the vibrations of thoughts and emotions of the people around us.

Practicing the discernment of frequencies may feel odd at first. But the more you do it, the more automatic is becomes. Really try to stay in tune with the changes in your physical and mental state when a new “vibration” is introduced and listen to whether or not it’s in harmony with your natural frequency.

It’s not woo woo, guys. I promise you, it’s science!

If you’re ever having trouble finding hope or happiness, instead search for GRATITUDE. Don’t worry about it being deep or profound, it’s actually better to start with the smaller, seemingly less significant things. Feel gratitude for that first sip of coffee, warm socks, fresh air, a funny meme. ☺️ The more simple the things are, the better the exercise in gratitude. Be grateful for toilet paper! (Seriously) Running water. Your bed. How good it feels to scratch an itch. Getting to hug someone you care about. Music. Pets. Whatever functioning body parts you are lucky enough to have. The list is literally endless!

I promise you the more gratitude you can find, the happier you will feel no matter what.

Try coming up with at least 5 things you’re grateful for right now and maybe write them down. Remember, they don’t need to be profound, bonus points if they’re silly! I think if we could do this every morning, we’d all improve our lives. 🩷

ARGH! I knew I was forgetting something!

I had these sitting on my desk and I meant to show them to you. I bought these back when I was purging my house of plastic, which was not easy considering I had a 2 year old!

But I found these plates and cups and I’m obsessed! We still use them and he’s 8. They are made out of bamboo! 🎋 They are thick and just as durable as plastic, without all the toxins. I totally recommend them if you have little ones!

They make full sized plates as well without the compartments. I'm going to be buying those as well, they didn't have that when I bought these.

These aren't the only kinds, you can search a ton of them now! But these were the ones I purchased back then. 🩷

I think tomorrow for TCLP I'm going to cover emotional detox. It was further down my list, but I feel like it’s much needed right now. Our emotions are pivotal to our overall health, even having a major effect on our physical bodies. And we live in a world that plays on our emotions and uses fear and awfulness to manipulate us.

The good news is, we can totally protect ourselves from these things. We just need to be more mindful and learn how to spot emotional vampirism when it’s happening to us.

Just a PSA from your friendly neighborhood hypnotherapist -

Many of the photos, videos and stories you are scrolling past on this site will very likely cause varying degrees of trauma and anxiety, even if not immediately perceived.

Trauma and anxiety can actually trigger a natural state of hypnosis. There are many levels of hypnosis, and some are light enough you wouldn't even realize you were in them. You can walk, talk, drive a car (scary enough) and go about your day 'normally' while in a hypnotic trance without knowing it. Many people literally go in and out of states of hypnosis regularly throughout the day.

Hypnosis is not an unconscious state, it's actually a state of hyper-awareness. As a hypnotherapist, I've found that these lighter levels of hypnosis are just as (and sometimes more) effective at establishing a level of suggestibility than the deeper levels.

So what does "suggestibility" mean?

In hypnosis, the barrier that typically protects the subconscious is in fight or flight mode, causing it to be mostly incapacitated. So your subconscious is left open and exposed.

In this state, your thoughts, feelings, perceptions, or behaviors are MUCH more likely to be influenced. This can be a good thing in a clinical setting where a therapist is guiding the subconscious to accept positive suggestions that are beneficial to the person being hypnotized. But left open to the awful things we're seeing in the world currently, it can have a very negative impact on your mental health.

My recommendation is to try your best NOT to view the videos and images if you can help it. We don't HAVE to be literal witnesses to these horrific things in order to understand clearly what's happening, and once you start to look, it's very hard to pull your eyes away.

I'm very careful with the way I scroll on twitter, I keep my eyes on the text and away from images until I get a notion of what the content is about, and if it's something traumatic, I very quickly move it off screen.

You can be informed without being traumatized.

I’m going to be talking about Emotional Toxicity, what causes it, the effects of it, and how you can emotionally detox and protect yourself going forward!

Detoxing is wholistic, there’s a synergy that works between mind, body, and spirit. If one of these areas is sick, it will have an effect on the others. Unresolved emotional issues can cause physical ailments and illnesses. If you want to have a healthy body, you need to heal your mind as well. The same way you can’t grow a healthy plant in diseased soil or without clean water and air. 🌱🩷
