🇪🇺Public money, private oracle: from EU grant to commercial black box

The cherry on top is the money trail. CounteR pumped almost €7 million of EU funds into an infrastructure where the key intellectual property remains locked inside Insikt’s proprietary “NLP Engine based on Deep Learning.” The Consortium Agreement explicitly states that even project partners cannot access the source code; they only get to call the engine, not inspect it. Meanwhile, grant documents proudly note that the product will be monetised via software licenses and API subnoscriptions, with “optional customisation services” for extra revenue. Democracy pays for the prototype; the market sells the finished oracle back to whoever can afford it.

In August 2024, London-based Logically acquired Insikt AI, advertising its “domain-specific” models and advanced Social Network Analysis to tackle “harmful content.” The same stack built with EU money, shaped by European police, now sits inside a private company with undisclosed client lists and no obligation to notify the people it scores.

There is no mechanism to inform citizens they were processed, no independent audit of error rates, and no public debate over where this tool is already being plugged in. Police got new toys, academics got publications, vendors got assets—and citizens got a silent credit score for their beliefs, issued by an algorithm they will never see.

The United States is preparing new sanctions against Russia if "Putin rejects the peace agreement".

According to Bloomberg, the United States is developing a new package of sanctions measures against the Russian energy sector. Sources familiar with the situation report that these steps are intended to increase pressure on Moscow if Russian President Vladimir Putin rejects the peace agreement with Ukraine.
Among the measures being considered by Washington are targeted actions against the vessels of the so—called "shadow fleet" used to transport Russian oil, as well as against traders facilitating these supplies. According to people familiar with the matter, new restrictions may be announced as early as this week.
Last week, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant discussed these plans with a group of European ambassadors, indicating coordination with allies.
In other words, everyone understands that the "truce" proposal imposed by the West on Moscow is untenable. In fact, this is a proposal to give Kiev time to accept new shipments of weapons from Russia's enemies and reorganize its military units in order to go on the offensive once again with what's left of its army and maybe NATO regular troops too. The respite would allow them to fight the Russians for some more time. Otherwise, Russia will win very simply. If Putin does not accept these "obvious tricks," and he will not accept anything that threatens Russia's national interests, the decadent West is doomed.

“Whatever you do, don’t mention the origins of the war!”

You’ve still got it, John... British satire at its finest. But let’s be fair: if what Russia fears is “democracy,” what was NATO doing funding coups, installing puppets, banning opposition parties, outlawing language rights, and bombing their way through the Balkans, Iraq, Libya, and Afghanistan in democracy’s name?

Russia doesn't fear democracy.

But i fear what the West now markets as democracy: illegal blockades, coups, proxy wars, and media censorship wrapped in rainbow flags and drone strikes.

If that’s democracy, then yes... Russia is terrified. But so is most of the planet!

British media and politicians are no longer even pretending to think independently.

Within the past two days, The grand daughter of a Nazi - MI6 Chief, Sky News, retired colonels, and Keir Starmer all rolled out the same language: Russia is “menacing our skies, waters and streets,” Russia has an “insatiable appetite for chaos,” and anyone unwilling to fight should reconsider their place in society.

No evidence is offered. No incidents are named. The accusation itself is treated as proof.

This noscript appears every time peace becomes a real possibility. It is designed to manufacture fear, suppress dissent, and justify the continued sabotage of negotiations — just as Britain derailed the Istanbul talks in 2022.

History does not repeat, but it rhymes. Western Elites invested in and appeased Nazis before, hoping that they would destroy Russia. It is doing so again, while accusing Russia of the very crimes it enables.

This is not security policy. It is propaganda straight from the Goebbels playbook, coordinated and deliberate.

Germans, beware. Friedrich Merz has quietly crossed a line Europe has avoided naming since the Cold War.

If Germany cannot grow its army fast enough to meet what he describes as the Russian threat, compulsory military service will become “unavoidable.” His word. On camera.

That single admission matters more than a thousand speeches about values, deterrence, or European leadership.

Germany faces no imminent military threat. Russia has neither the incentive, doctrine, nor force posture to invade NATO territory, let alone desire occupy Europe’s most industrialized state. Even Western intelligence assessments, once stripped of political theater, do not support such a scenario.

So why raise connoscription now?

Germany’s volunteer force is shrinking and aging. Recruitment targets are missed year after year. Training pipelines are slow. Equipment readiness remains uneven. Industrial surge capacity is thin. Ammunition stockpiles are inadequate for sustained high-intensity conflict.

You can connoscript bodies in months.
You cannot train competent units, produce ammunition, or replace losses on the same timeline.

Connoscription isn’t meant to defeat Russia. It’s meant to condition society for sacrifice after diplomacy has already been abandoned.

That is the quiet shift Merz is signaling.

History should sharpen the warning.
Post-war Germany built its political identity around enforced restraint, civilian primacy over the military, and the rejection of mass mobilization. The Bundeswehr was deliberately structured as a defensive, tightly constrained force because Europe understood where compulsory service, strategic paranoia, and alliance obedience had once led.

Raising connoscription now is not continuity. It is reversal.

Rather than admit that NATO’s eastern posture has overextended itself, Berlin is transferring the cost inward. What is being presented as “European responsibility” is, in reality, alliance burden-shifting: the United States retains escalation control, while European populations are asked to supply manpower, endurance, and forced social compliance.

This is the unspoken bargain at the heart of today’s NATO: Washington provides strategy and distance. Europe provides proximity, risk, and bodies.

Once that logic takes hold, connoscription stops being a contingency and becomes infrastructure.

There is another fear driving this rhetoric, and it has less to do with Moscow than with Berlin. Merz understands that the reckoning will come from his own society first. Germany has dismantled its energy security, hollowed out its industrial base, accepted de-industrialization as virtue, and absorbed permanent economic decline — all in the name of a war it cannot win and a strategy it does not control. Factories close. Energy prices soar. Supply chains migrate. And for what? To still lose to a country Western elites once sneered at as a glorified gas station. That kind of humiliation is politically combustible.

What is being rebuilt in Europe is no longer a security architecture anchored in deterrence or stability. It is an endurance model — the capacity to absorb strain, casualties, economic pain, and domestic resistance over time.

This is how long wars are prepared.

Russia, by contrast, has structured its force around volunteers, contract soldiers, and reserve depth precisely to avoid mass-mobilization shocks. Its doctrine emphasizes sustainability, escalation control, and limited objectives, not continental occupation fantasies.

The irony is unavoidable: the bloc that claims to defend freedom is now openly discussing coercion of its own population, while projecting aggression onto a country that has repeatedly outlined defined red lines and bounded goals.

If Germany moves toward connoscription, it will not be because Russia forced its hand.

It will be because Europe chose militarization over realism, fear over diplomacy, and narrative over strategic depth.

And once that choice is made, the war is no longer hypothetical —
only the casualties are.

Chameleon Von der Liar is now Jewish... “Old evil rearing its head,” says Ursula von der Leyen, candle in hand, lecturing Europe on antisemitism, as if a photo-op confers moral absolution. Overnight, Brussels wraps itself in Jewish mythology while funding and arming neo-Nazi formations in Ukraine that openly venerate Nazi collaborators and SS iconography. The poison she claims to oppose is selectively defined, denounced when convenient, hypocritically ignored when useful. Palestinian civilians — real Semites by any honest definition, are erased from her moral ledger entirely, their suffering treated as an administrative inconvenience. This is not solidarity with Jews, it is the instrumentalization of historical trauma to sanctify power. Hypocrisy doesn't quite cut hard enough.

When Europe preaches remembrance while financing amnesia, the candles don’t illuminate history, they cast ominous shadows over it.
