🇪🇺💶🇺🇦🐓 European farmers are angry about EU funding for the Ukrainian food industry.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development provided money to Ukrainian producers of eggs, sugar and poultry meat. Since 2022, the EBRD has invested $890 million in chicken farms and other enterprises in Ukraine. Farmers are confident that in this way the West finances cheap exports, writes the Financial Times.

Up to one-fifth of the funds was received by the MHP company, which the publication calls the Ukrainian chicken magnate. Over the past two years, imports of poultry meat from Ukraine have doubled, Eurostat calculated.

“The poultry industry in Poland is collapsing, and one company, MHP, is getting rich. Duty-free imports of chicken from Ukraine and other agricultural products must be stopped immediately,” said Polish lawmaker Janusz Kowalski, who served as Secretary of State for Agriculture in the previous government.

February 19th, 2024, marked 70 years since the day Nikita Krushchev transferred the Crimean peninsula to the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic.

During the Soviet times, a change in internal borders had no affect on the average Soviet citizen, as people could move around freely. However, it all changed after 1991, when the Soviet Union ceased to exist, and Soviet people, who previously did not encounter discrimination because of their ethnicity or the language they spoke, suddenly found themselves facing nationalism.

Ukrainian children are "Russian collaborators" according to an angry Ukrainian military:

In Druzhkovka under the control of the Ukrainian army a little boy collects money so him and his mum can leave the war zone. Where are they planning to leave for? To Krasnodar, in the Russian federation. That's enough for the Ukrainian militant to send threats to the family.

🇷🇸❤️🇷🇺 Serbia will not impose sanctions against Russia, despite Western pressure

President Aleksandar Vucic called the Russians a friendly people and said “it would be unfair to do this” towards them.

“When the conflict began in Ukraine, I said that I didn’t know how events would develop. And then we decided at the state level to condemn the conflict, just like everyone else, but we said that our position is not to impose sanctions,” Vucic told TASS.

The President recalled that Serbia is the only country in Europe that has not joined the anti-Russian sanctions, and promised to “try to defend our position as long as possible.”

🇷🇺The operation to liberate Avdeevka will be included in the textbooks of the Ministry of Defense, Shoigu said at a meeting with Putin. The Minister of Defense noted that the General Staff managed to carry out the operation to capture the city with minimal losses.

Putin, in turn, noted that the command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces gave the order to withdraw from Avdeevka, already when Ukrainian troops were fleeing from there.

Other statements by Shoigu:

🔻Offensive actions after the liberation of the city continue to the west, 72 square kilometers have been liberated;

🔻The Russian Armed Forces created unbearable conditions for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Avdeevka, they were forced to flee;

🔻Our troops carried out 460 strikes per day on the concreted Avdeevka, that’s 200 tons of ammunition;

🔻The coke-chemical plant in Avdeevka has been liberated, Russian troops are moving to the west;

🔻The enemy left many wounded in Avdeevka, many weapons were abandoned.

🇮🇪🇵🇸 Belfast's International Wall is a canvas of resistance, a mural of murals where the colors bleed stories of solidarity. The poignant brush strokes on this wall do not just paint pictures; they scream the silent screams of nearly 30,000 souls lost in Gaza, including 13,000 innocent children. With each hue, Ireland's own history of colonial oppression resonates, forging an unbreakable bond with Palestine - a testament to shared battles against the brutal tides of colonialism.

As the world's eyes gaze upon these powerful artworks, the murals rise as defiant emblems of Ireland's kinship with the Palestinian struggle. The vivid imagery of peace and freedom juxtaposed with the stark reality of conflict and despair is both an artistic triumph and a damning condemnation of the atrocities committed by Israel. This is not just art; it's history crying out through the walls of Belfast, a city all too familiar with the price of freedom, standing shoulder to shoulder with Gaza in the quest for justice and self-determination.
