🇦🇺Australia imposes sanctions against 90 Russian citizens and 40 organizations. This was reported in a statement by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
The prime minister said that the sanctions list would include "Russian ministers responsible for energy, natural resources, industry, education, labor, migration and healthcare, as well as citizens and organizations of economic and strategic importance to Russia."
The Australian government has not yet published a detailed list of citizens and organizations subject to new sanctions, however, it is noted that it includes the Kalashnikov concern, Admiralty Shipyards JSC, Tupolev PJSC, V.P. Makeev" and the enterprise producing infantry fighting vehicles, "Kurganmashzavod".

Fun fact: Marx and Engels claimed that heterosexual monogamous families are the root cause of societal oppression.
Their bogus theory of "Primitive Communism" claims that the natural state of human familial organization is a "promiscuous horde." Unsurprisingly, Marx was an adulterer and Engels had many mistresses but refused to marry.
In Origin of the Family, Engels writes: "The first class oppression coincides with that of the female sex by the male." He claims that the institution of patriarchy and "overthrow of [matrilineality] was the world historical defeat of the female sex" which "reduced women to servitude." They became "the slaves of male lust and mere instruments for the production of children."
Marx adds: "Fourier characterizes epochs of civilization by monogamy and landed private property. The modern family contains in germ not only slavery (servitus), but also serfdom [...] It contains in miniature all the contradictions which later extend throughout society and its state."

Leading the current round of sanctions against Russia are the US, Switzerland and Canada with 1,948, 1,782 and 1,590 restrictions, respectively. The majority of those sanctions target individuals, with only 2,210 of the 11,327 sanctions placed on entities, vessels or aircraft. Not included in these figures are sectoral sanctions like general trade embargos on gas or oil.
In addition to sanctions, more than 1,000 companies left the Russian market, according to the Yale School of Management.
Iran was previously the most sanctioned state in history with 3,616 active sanctions.
Meanwhile, most of the sanctions imposed on Syria, which ranks third, stem from the events surrounding the Syrian civil starting in 2011.
