That’s where the dam is located… I have pins at another location just downriver, it’s just not making sense if it were self sabotage and I don’t think it would’ve kaboomed without that area being evacuated prior to…

🌊It is reported about the destruction of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station.
More than 80 settlements, including Kherson, will be in the zone of rapid flooding. Hundreds of thousands of people could be affected.
The water supply to a significant part of the south of Ukraine may be destroyed. The destruction of the HPP could leave the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant without water for cooling.
In addition, the destruction of the Kakhovskaya dam will exclude the possibility of supplying water to Crimea in the coming years.

🇷🇺🇺🇦☢️ To note. Upstream from the Nova Kakhovka Dam is the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant which sits along the Kakhovka reservoir. This could cause problems for cooling the reactors as the nuclear plant relies on water from the reservoir.
