Just to be sure, a Great Recession had been arranged for the election year and who did Bush appoint to captain the Fed's response but the guy who finally admitted their culpability in the earlier one. “We won't do it again.” True! Bernanke's expertise on Friedman allowed him to do it just differently enough.
