The Federal Reserve responded by strangling the money supply to induce a Great Depression until they got their mollycoddler-in-chief, FDR, elected for life to quarterback World War 2. Hoover, by design, is mostly remembered for his inept handling of the crisis; in truth, the die had been cast in 1913 when Democrats ceded control of the dollar to the Cabal as a prelude to the planned American victory in World War 1.
