🔹Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦, Turkey 🇹🇷, and Egypt 🇪🇬 plan to join BRICS+, and their potential membership bids could be discussed and answered at next year’s summit in South Africa. Last month the Islamic Republic of Iran 🇮🇷 and Argentina 🇦🇷 officially submitted its application to join the group.

🔹China’s 🇨🇳 foreign trade with other BRICS member states amounted to 1.64 trillion yuan ($244 billion) in the first half of the year, up 14.1% in annual terms. the value of exports reached 817.18 billion yuan ($121 billion), jumping 20.6%. The value of imports was also up, by 8.3% to 825.82 billion yuan (around $123 billion).

🔹The BRICS+ nations (Brazil 🇧🇷, Russia 🇷🇺 , India 🇮🇳 , China 🇨🇳 , and South Africa🇿🇦) account for over 40% of the global population and nearly a quarter of the world’s GDP. The multipolar world is being formed with the BRICS+, EAEU & ASEAN.

🔹A number of factors, including the heat and drought conditions in 🇺🇸 East Texas, are forcing ranchers to sell-off cattle🐂. They say relief will come only in the form of rain, and plenty of it. Livestock producers in drier areas of the state are weaning and marketing calves earlier and culling herds deeper than usual.

🔹No rain means no pasture🌱, no pasture means no hay, no hay means the cow 🐄 prices go down and the hay prices go up,”. Shortages will then follow in winter. “There’s good hay out there that’s $80 and above this year instead of $40, $50, $60 last year,”.

🔹After Canada's 🇨🇦exemption to allow Germany's 🇩🇪Siemens to return a gas turbine from Canada to Gazprom for use in Nordstream1 and amid the oppostion to the exemption by Zelensky 🇺🇦, an issue arises.

🔹All the western media has published thus far is propaganda on Gazprom's statement (photo). Siemens has no response to any media.

🔹Siemens Germany is contracted and responsible for the safe return of the turbine to Gazprom. What I gather from the statement is despite the exemption to the sanctions, there are now other permits, customs & excise and transport logistics documents under delays due to the west cutting business ties with 🇷🇺Russia. This may not guarantee the return of the turbine on time. Gazprom has 6 more days of planned maintenance with Nordstream1 shut-down. Gazprom is doing due diligence on it's contractual obligations and informing parties about this, because if they don't resume gas to Germany the west will claim 'energy blackmail' by Russia and breach of contract.

🔹Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 doubles second-quarter Russian fuel oil imports for power generation. Saudi Arabia imported 647,000 tonnes (48,000 barrels per day) of fuel oil from Russia via Russian and Estonian 🇪🇪 ports in April-June this year. That was up from 320,000 tonnes in the same period a year ago.

🔹Russian🇷🇺-origin fuel oil cargoes 🚢 through Egypt and Estonia boosted imports. Saudi fuel imports from Egypt 🇪🇬 spiked to a record 110,000 bpd in June as Egypt's imports of Russian fuel oil jumped to a record 70,000 bpd in the same month.

🔹 A transformer exploded yesterday at Hoover Dam, one of the 🇺🇸 USA’s largest hydroelectric facilities, producing a thick cloud of black smoke and flames 🔥that were quickly extinguished.

🔹 No one was hurt in the explosion near the base of the dam, an engineering marvel on the Colorado River that straddles the border of Arizona and Nevada. Electricity 🔌 produced at Hoover Dam continued flowing. The cause of the fire is under investigation 🕵️‍♂️.

The 800-mile (1,288-kilometer) Rhine river runs from Switzerland all the way to the North Sea.

🔹European energy and utilities companies are racking up 📈 more debt to cover the cost of soaring oil and gas prices. Germany’s 🇩🇪 Uniper SE looks set to need about 9 billion euros in funds.

Update to Gazprom's force majeure on Nordstream 1.

🔹10-day maintenance on NordStream1 completed. Gas supplies via the NordStream 1 gas pipeline resumed at 04:00 GMT today and @ 40% capacity. Gas turbine required to increase capacity & safe operation. A report claim that Canada 🇨🇦 had made the sanctions exemption and sent the gas turbine by plane to Germany 🇩🇪 after multiple requests by German officials. Should reach Russia 🇷🇺 around July 24.

🔹Gazprom 🇷🇺 says, it is still awaiting documents from Germany's Siemens, to allow it to be delivered to Russia and for installation. Another report claim the gas turbine was flown ✈️ to Cologne, Germany, 🇩🇪 from Canada on 19th July.

🔹Austrian 🇦🇹 oil and gas group OMV said Gazprom is expected to deliver roughly 50% of their agreed gas volume. Italy's 🇮🇹 Eni says it would receive about 36 million cubic metres of gas from Gazprom, up from previous 32 million cu. metres prior to maintenance.

🔹Observation on weather 🌦 news coming from Europe. Amid the headlines such as "Climate change drives Europe towards record fire year" etc. Has anyone observed (images attached) that if you compare weather weather maps from 5 years ago (2017) to the exact date there is a discrepancy? Media weather reporters have changed the colour spectrum 🌈 & ranges for temperatures to include more alarming colours at low temperatures. Note, there is no universally defined color standards for weather maps.

🔹Of course this does not negate that there are new 🌡 high temperature historical records, this post is more focused on the alarm and panic being perpetuated by western media.

🔹 The wildfires 🔥 are a major concern however. The amount of burned European 🇪🇺 countryside has more than tripled this year, with almost 450,000 hectares charred through July 16, compared with a 2006-2021 average of 110,000 hectares in those same months.
