Keep in mind the operations of the surface ships will be hardened. The Houthi rebels playing target practice the last few years on the most ancient of our Burkes means we know our capabilities and what we need to do. Why? Because Iran forgot proxy wars means we’ll know what they’re capable of and what to counter act to accomplish the mission. “Loose lips sink ships” isn’t limited to words, it also applies to actions and strategy. Iran overplayed its hand and is now being called on the bluff. Iran’s only really valuable weapon against the US Navy in the Arabian Sea, missiles & drones from Yemen, is no longer an option.

People think the negotiations are trying to persuade the Iranian Regime to give up ballistic missiles & nuclear weapons. That is not the case. The goal is multifaceted:
1. Put Iran publicly on the record refusing to stop pursuing a nuclear bomb.
2. Give time for the ISR assets in the gulf to fully map out the Iranian Regime’s personnel nexus & their telecommunications nexus.
3. The US is using the negotiations to show Iran isn’t negotiating in good faith, showing an attack is necessary.
4. The negotiations by time for the US to fully assemble assets & make final planning complete.

When the strikes start, & the timing will only be known to the President, the SECWAR & the CENTCOM commander & combatant commanders executing the strikes. Anyone guessing timing is just guessing.
