Words on paper. The US is a hollow, paper tiger & the Russian government knows it.
During the cold war, multiple times a year, NATO staged exercises called REFORGER. The acronym stood for Reinforcements to Germany. The goal was to rush men & equipment to europe to fight a Soviet invasion. Those exercises ended at the end of the cold war & America doesn’t have the sea lift capability to do that anymore, nor does the US Navy have enough ships to escort those convoys.
The reality is the US doesn’t have enough troops in Europe to stop a Russian invasion. And we dont have the sealift & escort capability to get them there quickly enough.
