Attorney Jonathan Turley said they shouldn't criminalize accidentally choosing the wrong weapon. He said this has been an issue for years and they keep kicking the can down the road.

Ellison chose to prosecute Potter on 1st degree manslaughter for an accident to sensationalize and race bait.

Turley said that the judge's instruction to go back to the drawing board and start over after she heard the jury was hung on one of the counts basically pushed them toward a guilty verdict for Potter. That's wrong too.

I sincerely hope the verdict is overturned on appeal.

Amen to that. However, I don’t trust the courts anymore to decide within the law.

George Floyd's girlfriend, Courteney Ross, who was Daunte Wright's teacher, was in the courtroom when the Potter verdict was read. "The jury did the right thing." It's all in the family.

Daunte Wright attended Edison High School in Minneapolis when George Floyd's girlfriend worked there as his teacher.

Courteney Ross described Daunte as a "silly boy, as goofy as can be" who "needed a lot of love."

"Students like Daunte needed more resources but they never got more resources. Our system doesn't serve kids like Daunte. And now I'm seeing, more than ever, this system I once believed in, we're done doing what we need to be doing to protect Black life."

She was his ‘teacher’. She was supposed to be serving him. By her own words she failed him. Seems like a concurrent theme with her, considering her boyfriend was a violent criminal & drug addict. So was her ‘student’. Patterns tell you a great deal.
