They even asked for information about what it WAS because they were unaware. Ultimately and very early on it was concluded that "no reasonable prosecutor" would be able to successfully prosecute. That didn't stop them from using it as a predicate MONTHS later.

These warrants were part of a FOIA lawsuit by several media outlets. Once they obtained the warrants, they never published a thing about them. We speculate on a few reasons why in the column.
