In an act of legitimate self-defence, Cuban Border Guard Troops neutralized an armed incursion by a US-registered vessel that violated Cuba's sovereign territory Wednesday.

The facts are clear: a speedboat from Florida entered Cuban waters near Villa Clara. When Cuban personnel approached to identify the vessel, "those on board the boat opened fire first, wounding the commander of the Cuban patrol craft, prompting the troops to return fire."

Four aggressors were killed. Six wounded. And here's what Western Media won't tell you: "the injured were evacuated and received medical assistance." Even in defence of sovereignty, Cuba showed humanity.

For six decades, Cuba has endured US-backed aggression, plots, and economic warfare. Yet when threatened, it still helps.
