*Two J&K Police Sub-Inspectors Dead, One Injured in Srinagar Road Accident*
Srinagar : Two Jammu and Kashmir Police Sub-Inspectors died while another was injured after their vehicle met with an accident at Tengen Bypass in Nowgam area of Srinagar during the intervening night of August 10–11, officials said on Monday.
A top police officer told news agency --- that a Kia vehicle was involved in the mishap, resulting in injuries to three police officers, Sub-Inspector Sachin Verma of 23 Bn IRP (posted at Pantha Chowk for SANJY-2025 duty), Sub-Inspector Shubam Sait of 21 Bn IRP (posted at Awantipora for SANJY-2025 duty), and Sub-Inspector Mastan Singh of 23 Bn IRP (posted at Railway Station Awantipora).
All three were shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar, where doctors declared Sachin Verma and Shubam Sait as brought dead, officer said.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and further investigation started.

Today on Aug 11, 2025 between at about 1600 hrs, BSF troops deployed in Hiranagar sector, Distt Kathua, observed some movement of civilians from Pak side close to IB. They were warned to move out of the area to Pak side. BSF fired few shots, in which one civilian got injured and apprehended by BSF.
BSF troops observed suspicious movement wherein a Pak National was observed crossing the IB and approaching aggresively towards border fence in district Kathua, Jammu. He was warned by alert troops but paid no heed. BSF troops sensing threat fired on his legs. Lateron, he was taken into BSF custody. Protest being lodged with counterpart.
